| Forum Thread | 901 reasons to question free speech at 07:50 22 Jan 2025
As my tagline suggests I am a big advocate of free speech and during the eye of the c19 storm, this forum allowed a lot of debate to it's credit, so why has it now seen fit to remove a feisty yet fairly routine debate around Trump? The thread starter asked for it's removal when presumably they felt it wasn't going the way they wanted, but others have asked and not been granted this in the past. What is the rationale behind this decision please? This was my last post on the thread below - was this gently mocking post the catalyst? I suppose I will find out if the censors remove this too. All a bit 1984.... Haha, this literally made me laugh out loud. 1. Moderator, moderator, stop the thread, he's ruined it for me! You're not a geezer are you 901? In fact who are you 901? A former pro footballer you said once and now you are hobnobbing with 100 plus politicians on both sides of the Atlantic? Impressive credentials 901 or are you a fantasist? 2. What is not so impressive are your facts, which you share with others every chance you get. I have never denied mass killings, what I said was I didn't know and I didn't believe everything I saw on the TV. That is different 901, try attention to detail 3. I must admit I saw your response to me as a small victory as a uturn it was quite spectacular! Anyway, moderator, moderator stop the thread it's forever ruined.😁 [Post edited 22 Jan 8:05]

| Forum Thread | Ivan Juric - Reasons to be cheerful 1,2,3 at 13:17 21 Dec 2024
His name sounds a little bit like Ian Dury, so what a waste it would be to let that pass 3 reasons; 1. Pragmatism over idealism. No more passing in our own penalty area will be good 2. Heavy metal football sounds like it should be fun and attacking. 3. He sounds like a loose cannon - No boring yes man - excellent! |
| Forum Thread | SR not AL for SR at 12:45 18 Dec 2024
I assumed along with others that Lallana was brought in to the club in readiness for the inevitable Russell Martin implosion and that at this point AL would be leading the team tonight, not the amiable Simon Rusk, who happens to share the same initials as the owners, but looks and sounds like He has been plucked off the nearest Building Site. Presumably the decision was made so as to not muddy the waters and a replacement may be named after the game tonight, hopefully. The take away from his interview is that he will listen to the players - so this will be revealing to see what style is played tonight - should be fascinating. |
| Forum Thread | The unbelievable presidency election. at 10:29 14 Jul 2024
The old saying "politics is just theatre for ugly people" took another twist yesterday when Trump had his ear grazed by a lone shooter and was then able to have an iconic photo taken of him with a bloodied face fist pumping by an American flag saying Make America great again. The comparison with his rival Sleepy Joe who can't find his way of a stage is all too apparent. It appears that the Powers that Be want a Trump victory for whatever reason, so they stage a little drama for the masses. Does anyone really buy this BS anymore? |
| Forum Thread | Heading down the table without Flynn at 08:31 16 Feb 2024
Flynn Downes goes off injured against Huddersfield after half an hour. We then concede 6 goals in 150 minutes. There have been a lot of strong performances this season from players like KWP, JB and THB but surely a fully fit Downes is our most influential player, when he got taken off against Swansea away we nearly capitulated after dominating completely beforehand. With Downes automatic promotion, without Downes - play offs. Does anyone more “anoraky” than me have stats to back up how influential Downes is? |
| Forum Thread | One thing I learnt from today... at 15:55 20 Jan 2024
that Jack Stephens, if played could cost us promotion. Sorry, lovely bloke and all that, but virtually every game he plays he brings chaos to our defending. Harwood Bellis and JB have formed a brilliant partnership that should be instrumental in getting us up. Stephens should only be used as a last resort. |
