McCarthy finally goes long getting rid of the ball in a potentially difficult situation. St Mary’s erupts with an ironic cheer. Pundits on TV say who can blame the fans as the playing around at the back has cost us so many times this season. The only person who can’t see it is Martin. With a well drilled side coached to manage games and minimise risk Saints could have won yesterday. Martin must go.
Only one other team had conceded 12 goals this season and that is Doncaster who are bottom of the entire league. That cannot be down to lack of leadership or a poor keeper. RM has previous with organising teams that cannot defend. It is him and his coaching teams responsibility to sort this out as a priority or we have absolutely no chance of going up.
Anything is better than Hoedt. Personally I'd go for any of the other centre half's. If that doesn't work go for Cahill on loan until the end of the season.
Liverpool won't have an easier game all season. Sucker punches ? If they had stepped up they would have scored more. Long having a laugh with VVD tapping hands with him after a gentle shove. He should have gone right through him and taken a yellow if he had any understanding of how Saints fans feel. And as for our 'owners' laughing and joking thousands of miles away. An absolute disgrace. Good PR Ralph. Thought that was his strength.
Saints fans also need to be aware Wales are playing Scotland in the rugby with a 16.50 kick off in Cardiff. Trains will be rammed. If you have time go for a beer in the centre near the train station rather than near the ground.
Liverpool is a classy club that likes it's players in act in a gentlemanly and honourable manner. Yep it sure did turn on Suarez after the disgraceful racial abuse and biting. What a load of nonsense.
Agree with all that's been said. The one thing that stood out for me was seeing Jack Cork back. I can't remember him playing as well as that. Without Wanyama and Sniederlin he had to lead and boy did he do that. To boss Yaya Toure is no mean feat.
