Amrit Bansul-McNulty was the one for me. The loan to Crawley? destroyed his career IMO.

Did I imagine it

I was right at the front of the Loft when that happened. GB stood there waiting for the ball to be thrown to him and the fan holding it said "If you want it, come and get it monkey boy" GB leapt straight over the fence and took a step or two before the ball was thrown to him with the comment "Alright it was just a bit of banter". He also moved away to another part of the Loft after it too.

Once he learned the reason for it he insisted that we win every game so he could join in, he absolutely loves joining in, Varane too. If we lose at home he says he's leaving.

IMO Chair & Paal are as good as it would get for over 90% of the teams in this division. Shades of Manning and BOS for me, not perfect but more than good enough.

That's him getting a 3 match suspension from an EFL review after getting complaints from Luton.

He is also instrumental in the improvement in Ken Paal's game too. They had a good understanding of when to go and when to stay and their fast interplay, whilst not, flawless, was better than most on the pitch. Their defensive efforts were also worthy of mention too.
For the 1st 30 minutes I was considering Paul Smyth as a contender for MOTM but just before the eye injury he looked like he'd blown a head gasket. He had seriously run out of steam, perhaps the toll for the effort he has been putting in recently.
High praise for Morgan, Lloyd and Saito too, we are really starting to enjoy
a full squad of players now.
Well done too to the supporters who, for the most part, got behind the team and evidenced by the number who stayed behind to belt out Hi Ho QPR.
Only gripe was the no. of fans griping about us playing out from the back; it's how we play now, get over it. Probably the people who moaned about Gazball.

IMO he and Kolli are best headers of a ball, not just winning, but directing too.

Your best and worst ever QPR moment witnessed as a fan and as an armchair fan !!
at 14:43 5 Jan 2025

Best Live: Aston Villa away to get us promoted to the 1st Division for the 1st time.
Best TV: Man Utd 1 - 4 QPR. I just loved how the commentators and Law were making excuses all through, and after the game.
Worst Live: The game that never happened.
This post made me realise that I don't watch QPR on the TV live.

To avoid any legal repercussions against Clive, I won't recount the story on here but I'm happy to meet up after Monday's game to tell you the story as told to me by Clive Walker at the Greenford training ground. Just ask Dave Thomas who I am and he'll point me out to you.

Contrast that with the number of posters in match threads ejaculating the phrase "stop fücking around with the ball at the back" and "Stop trying to play out all the time".

The coldest/wettest you've ever been at a match
at 19:56 2 Jan 2025

Driving up the A43 to your house the road was white, the verges were white and the trees were white the temp on my dashboard said -18°C by the time we reached the Golden Cup it had warmed up to -15°C and I remember an R's fan wearing just a Tigger costume drinking outside. I also remember Armand Traore coming on at half time and absolutely bossing the central midfield.

Shot from outside the area from a short clearance and he spaffed it into the crowd.

Varane
at 15:06 2 Jan 2025

As I don't drink at football, I usually am sat in the ground when the players come out for their pre match drills and the shooting drills never include the defenders as they used to, I feel that is a mistake as we now have a style of play where almost anyone on the team can get a scoring chance and even if they just stick to the basics of head & knee over the ball etc. it would amplify their chances significantly. Notwithstanding he had an excellent game yesterday, that was a shocking attempt by Varane, he just didn't look like he have ever had a shot in his life.

Wettest; Reading at home in the SIMOD cup, it was like being stood under a waterfall at the front of the Loft. Swindon away sat on seats on an open terrace wasn't much better.
Coldest; Carlisle away with driving sleet towards the away fans all game. I followed most of the match with my back to the pitch and only turned around when there was a bit of crowd excitement. Not sure, but I think we lost 1-0 too. Honorary mention for the Forest game during the miners strike and Blackburn away {-18ºC} when we came from 3-0 down at half time and pulled 2 back in the second half. Also the first time I ever met Saffa.

The team spirit and the togetherness are really apparent now as well the camaraderie with fans. When you see Nardi and Varane belting out HI Ho Silver Lining with the crowd you know the team is in good shape.

What a dismissive viewpoint "A few flicks, tricks and nutmegs in the championship for 1 season" Were you one of those that voted for PK? In just 1 game Adel shows more skill than Salah will ever have. You don't appear to have grasped that in the hierarchy of talent, Adel is at the pinnacle, irrespective of whether he ever did it over a long time or not. If longevity was the focus, I am going with Peter Shilton.
