Canas on 14:52 - Jan 1 with 2492 views | _Kieran | I thought he played really well again, covered lots of ground, made blocks, rarely gave the ball away. After a slow start I've been impressed with him last couple of months he's been consistent.

Canas on 14:55 - Jan 1 with 2472 views | Swanfan1 | at least he was at the places and defending but he got no help from his partner in the central midfield... a man that shall not be named

Canas on 14:57 - Jan 1 with 2453 views | PozuelosSideys | He goes walkabout too much for me. The gap between defenders and attacking players is too wide. Far too much space for the oppo to play in. Seems to disappear when we get countered too. Oh, and i have kittens every time he tries to pass the ball forwards.

Same here.Seems we're in the minority though judging by the -4 i've got.I put it down to others not understanding the game like myself and you do.
Canas on 15:02 - Jan 1 with 2412 views | PozuelosSideys | I think Leon is positionally the superior of the two, seems to have a knack of being in the right place. Canas is more of a terrier who chases everything, hence the ball gets played around him leaving holes behind.

Canas on 15:06 - Jan 1 with 2384 views | _Kieran | MANCHESTER CITY had 4 attempts on target all match. I doubt we'd had limited them to less with Leon playing as good as he is!

Cañas does just as much defensively as Leon but also has a better range of passing. Definitely deserves to be first choice at the moment. Also thought JDG had a good game today and was involved in a lot of our attacking play. Shelvey on the other hand was anonymous today.
Canas on 15:27 - Jan 1 with 2233 views | TenkosBlondeWig | I thought Canas played pretty well today especially first half but we have been spoilt with Leon in that position over the years. My only gripe with Canas is he gets pulled out of position sometimes Leon still ahead of him for that position for me at the moment

JDG was very good today and his best performance in a long time i thought. He actually looked like he was busting a gut.
Canas on 15:31 - Jan 1 with 2206 views | Drizzy | Leon still edges it for me. Doesn't have the same tenacity as Canas but his positioning and discipline is so critical to our style of play and I think a lot of the problems regarding our style are due to a lack of balance in central midfield. Canas is a very useful player to have though. He does have problems with discipline and his passing can be erratic but he possesses the aggression that our midfield has lacked in recent years. He was excellent today considering he was up against arguably the best midfield pair in the league in Yaya Toure and Fernandinho.

Canas on 15:33 - Jan 1 with 2195 views | Swanfan1 | for those wanting Britton - De Guzman you ever think about the physique of the game, I know Canás is no strong man but physically he looks bigger than De Guzman or Britton imagine Britton vs. Yaya Toure
