Teams parking the bus guys. Makes for a boring game but we are now treated with great respect at home. I think we should give Hull some credit for playing a very effective spoiling game.

Agree. But,we did not help our own cause by giving the ball away so often. We know teams will "park the bus" so we have to find a way around the bus.Last night we lacked any ideas of so doing.Get some speed on the wings,in fact speed our whole game up.

Looking back on last night............. on 09:26 - Dec 10 with 3167 views | SkipTheJack | The Premier League is supposed to be the most exciting league in the World, but is gradually filling up with sides who's only approach is to stick all 11 men behind the ball and play for the draw - Hull, Cardiff and West Ham are classic examples. What worries me is that we used to know how to break down these tactics, but don't seem to have a clue any more (hence taking only 2 points from 9 against those 3 poor teams)!

Totally agree and the FA should do something about all the time wasting these teams are implementing as a tactic, its killing the game.
Looking back on last night............. on 09:32 - Dec 10 with 3147 views | Nogginthenog | I thought Hull were a poor team and were there for the taking had we not put in the most inept performance for a long time. Though well organised they were clueless at passing and had they been able to find their men on the break could have taken us to the cleaners.A point was a decent return considering how bad we were.

Just stop the clock when the ball goes out of play. No added time, no time wasting unless the ball is in play which is fair game. They do it in Rugby League, can't see how hard it is to do in football. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Why ? As for Routledge replacing Hernandez? Hmm. Still a point when playing poor is good and our luck is changing at last.

But Pablo is our "most creative player" .There again, that was said on here when he wasn't playing. Still, whatever else Routledge should resally only replace a player who s injured or desperately poor and Pablo wasnt that last night to be fair. I still worry about our motivation for 90 mins. This had led to much bitterness on here but its rare we play balls out for the whole game. Quite what they do in that pre kick off huddle is a mystery.-

Pre match huddle "Lets not wear ourselves out 1st half" "Lets keep the ball no matter what - backwards if need be" "Eventually they will tire and we'll score 2nd half" Thats my guess anyway - million miles away from what it was when the prematch huddle started when we could have gone out of the league

I reckon Pablo broke wind more than he broke a sweat last night. Seriously he was 'desperately poor' last night. I actually lost count of the times he either lost the ball, misplaced a pass last night, especially first half. Not a witch hunt, obviously a talented player, but, for me a luxury player,i do not agree with the seemingly prevalent view that we are somehow automatically better with him in the team.If he is playing well then fair enough he plays, but last night? I don't think so. NB: same should apply to all the players, but we all know/have seen that the game isn't like that.
Looking back on last night............. on 11:41 - Dec 10 with 2902 views | monmouth | Strange that all the old culprits get spooned out innit. Pablo, De Guz, Tiendalli. Yes they were poor but so was every other player on the pitch compared to what they've brought to other games. If we're looking to single anyone out, which we shouldn't, then why not Michu? He had a stinking match, and not for the first time this season.

Looking back on last night............. on 11:48 - Dec 10 with 2882 views | crackerjack | Tiendalli was complete dogshite. How on earth he managed to get a Dutch cap is beyond me! Perhaps we should stop the tippy tappy stuff at the edge of the area when it's so packed & concentrate on getting the ball down the flanks and crossit into the bloody box! That said, that would require us to have wingers who can beat a man & be able to cross the ball past the 1st bloody man!

Looking back on last night............. on 12:01 - Dec 10 with 2864 views | Dull1Thomas | I've got used to Pablo and JdG going AOL in games but last night Ash wasn't at the races. Hernandez often seems to call for a pass and then move (sometimes behind a player) making the passer look as if they have made the error. Looking back I noticed how often Ben Davies as been criticised when Pablo has been ahead of him and how often he's praised when its Routs. Our dead ball specialists can't take corners effectively, Jonjo and Michu didn't appear to know where they should be playing and often cancelled each other out or left acres of space. (My opinion - Michu was gaining some match fitness for St Gallen and Everton) Tiendalli, in my opinion wasn't as bad as is being made out. Apart from the theatrics Chico was fine. Canas, again in my opinion, wasn't bad nor was he brilliant. Ben Davies defensively was a bit shaky but was marking the Premier League's cross master; he was good going forward after Pablo had been subbed. Gerry was good. Pozuelo mad a huge difference, and again in my opinion, should either have stared ahead of Michu or come on for the second half. Our fans - many were shocking and don't deserve players to make an effort for them - boring on the field??? Not half as boring as listening to a large majority moan and whine about out play even when it's effective, boo a team doing well and expect route one football. Last night I was was disgusted with the attitude of many of our fans.

Its only the same old culprits as there are only 11 to choose from,i agree Michu has been poor a fair bit this season.Poz was 'unlucky' to be dropped/rested whatever its called these days.Michu surely playing for fitness, not sure if correct to do this but ML was so there you go. Re: Pablo, have a look back at the game, shocking really.I don't think Nath was much better but he does try I suppose.... I said immediately after the game,10th....that's good that is. In no way did Hull "park the bus". They were simply extremely well organised defensively and having got in front, they decided to , in the main, settle for trying to defend the 1-0 lead. I said to my mate that early in the 2nd half it was good for us that they chose to do this as we could attack without having to worry about their breaks because they were so deep. Right enough, we then scored when we had almost everyone in attack. But after the equaliser Hull tried at least as hard as us to get the winner and quite possibly, on balance, they deserved to win. You shouldn't mistake a team playing counter-attack football as "parking the bus" because it is NOT the same thing.

Agree with most of theat ... but may have deserved to win? No way - a few corners and one shot on target and that from long range.

We were poor from 1 to 11 last night Monny, even Ben didn't have his normal fluid game, got to suck it up and move on to Thursday and Sunday now and focus on St Gallen and Norwich.

Looking back on last night............. on 20:59 - Dec 10 with 2334 views | QuakerJack | If teams park the bus we need to do three things. 1. Move the ball much quicker 2. Use the width of the pitch.... The full width 3. SHOOOOOOOTT. From anywhere. The likes of shelvey and de guzman should be looking to hit the target and flood the box for the follow up
