Has told Liverpool tonight he wants out. They agreed if they did not qualify for the Champions League he could go for offers over £40 M Hence the Arsenal bid for £40M and £1, which activates a clause in his contract. I wonder how Arsenal knew this clause existed? These agents are out of control ATM A big smack in the face for all those who stood by him when it all went tits up...
oh feck off liverpool someone should tell them they are not a top 4 side anymore and that times have changed, im sick and tired of them..
they know they cant attract any top players hence their stupid reluctance to hold on to a player who belong to top 4 sides....
While I'm no fan of Liverpool, would you feel the same way if a Top 4 team wanted Michu? We should just roll over and accept it, not hold out for the best deal possible?
You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.
Liverpool will come good again. Its their current manager that is crucial.
They are buying high and selling low.
Stuff of perverse economics.
What Suarez is doing is destroying their reputation and frankly deep down they must want rid but that would mean Rodgers would have to buy smart .. BTW,whothefeck still has hub caps on their car
My car before last had them all nicked outside my old house in Berwick Terrace

they are getting 40-50M for him.. they should cut their losses and move on they promised him last season to go this season if they didnt qualify for top 4 face it they wont qualify for top 4 anytime soon with the likes of free spending Man City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Man Utd.
if someone offered Michu 30-40M and he was moaning about wanting to go I would sell him instantly, and move on

As would I. But that would be a profit of £28-38m for us. Liverpool paid around £23m for Suarez, so only a profit of £17m for them and they're operating on another level to us financially.
Also, the minute they say he can go, his value starts to drop. As it is, they'll play hardball until nearer the end of the window, as United are doing with Rooney and we would with any of our stars.

Dear ,dear now Rodgers is now crying over the racist, FFS Brendan, you should have known what the toothy one was like when he tried to gouge a chunk out of Ivanovic's arm. But then again he'll try and say that he is misunderstood by Liverpool fans and hopes that they'll treat him well when he comes back to play at Anfield as he is truly a red at heart!!

brendan has played a blinder with his comments..........gained massive respect from the minnions
the RAWK posters are queuing up to get a lick of him
There does seem a trend at last that clubs have had enough of player power. It seems that only in football, contracts are broken so easily ,and always seem motivated by player greed. If a club broke its contract with a player, the club has to pay out huge compensation or face court proceedings. It would be nice if for once someone like Suarez was forced to sit it out with Liverpool.I know it won,t happen because of the fact that huge wages still have to be paid. But I do think that player power ,backed by unscrupulous agents ,has gone too far.

Came across this quote regarding Suarez,
"Luis Suarez is the football cigarette. Arsenal fans craving the nicotine rush of his goals, but know deep down there will be a price to pay"
It's not the club that's a basket case, it's the player!
JS, it's a hypothesis I suppose, though it's a tad flawed. We valued michu at £30 million. We probably won't get offered near that unless he bangs in a shedfull this season too and wants to stay.
Disagree. suarez is a conniving ,two faced piece of human waste that should be dumped on a Montivideo landfill site. He knows exactly what he is doping and I stated on here a few months back he d not be staying with LFC-WHO MUST HAVE BEEN AWARE. Fact is they ve tried and hoped they could hold out but these days its the players who hold the cards not the Club. I m not commenting on the manager as it will feed Pross but the fact they are buying high and selling low (suarez apart) evidences this. Will be interesting to see what effect this has on the pitch. I truly believe we ll beat both Liverpool and Manure at home
Liverpool spent massively a few seasons on players who simply weren't that good.
Kenny got the chop and Rodgers was left with a number of players not capable of playing in the way he likes. The weaknesses of these players were highlighted and their value dropped.
They knew they had to defend Suarez or risk losing the only player they had capable of making something out of nothing. By defending him, they defended his behaviour and now it's biting them on the ass.
They talk about the money being talked about for Bale but they forget that Bale gets his head down and lets his football do the talking, something that can't be said for Suarez. Trouble has always followed him around. The guy took one of his clubs to court so he could move to Ajax.
Rodgers talking about loyalty and repaying faith is funny though. The guy has walked away from jobs in which he's been successful in and been sacked from the other.
I find it quite funny that the press are saying that Suarez has been told to train on his own. What else can he do, Liverpool are currently on a tour of Norway arent they? Bit of spin there from BR.
It really does show just how much contempt footballers have for the people who help to pay their obscene wages and beg for their autograph or a photo taken with them.
I d say our current manager SEEMS to be ho0nest an d straight which is almost surreal these days. If he leaves at the end of his contract he will be a jack "legend" with apologies to belfast

I think the difference with Laudrup is that we know he's off at the end of the coming season, he's never hidden that. He's never talked about not leaving until his project is finished etc.
JDG coming in on a season loan says a lot about Laudrup's long term plans here.
What pleases me is that Huw can plan for his successor although it could well be he knows who he wants and will bring him in when free. We re in good hands and it makes you feel good

I assumed we had already recruited his successor? Otherwise why leave his last job. I always thought this season would just be a tidy and orderly handover.
