Ok, I'll bite. Last season after 28 games Watford were sixth with 43 points, and ultimately 73 points was enough for Norwich to get the sixth spot, who were on 41 points at this stage in the season.
I will say, though, Blackburn are on a really poor patch at the moment and need to turn it around if they wish to stay in with a change of the playoffs. |

At the minute 6th spot is on 42 points from 28 games, which is a points per game of 1.5, equating to 69 points over a full season. That feels very low for 6th in a normal season. Nevertheless, let’s follow the logic and say “70” for 6th.
Means we would need 32 points from 18. PPG of 1.78. Basically 11 points every 6 games (gets us to 71).
That’s tough. It’s still very unlikely.
All that said, keep this momentum up over the next 6 games and the amount required will drop for the last 12, when the big teams will all be under greater pressure to get results and hold onto automatic promotion. |

Agree, think it’s still too big an ask to make play offs particularly as we’ve not beaten anyone in the top six and of the nine in the top half we’ve still to play we’ve collectively accumulated four points.
That said, in a perfect world, you’d hope one southern club might at least obtain one of the six top places.

Agreed and we’d need to beat one of said teams to make it worth getting there in the first place !
We normally do better against the better teams, especially when the game is more open. Now, we have put ourselves into a position where there is nothing lose by going for it, so why not try and put as many points in the bank as possible and see what we can do with that foundation and increased confidence in March/April. |  |

Well March is a toughy. I think it's a tall order but 11 or 12 wins or a combination giving a total of 71 to 74 point should see us make the play offs. The Blackburn and Wednesday game will tell us a lot. In my opinion I doubt it but I am often massively wrong. Could we win 12 out of 18 ? Possibly..... Sir Marti the great ..... we stay injury free and get some players back ? Let's get past 50 points first, which would mean wining the next 4 then we are in with a shout. Either way great turn around let's keep going and pushing and see what happens.

Thing is we're not under the radar this season. Last season we shocked Leicester and Leeds. Most teams we beat's fans forums said how could we lose to QPR. Now at least 50% of fans are saying, actually QPR are playing decent football.

On January 29th 2022, QPR were 4th. Therefore, QPR were 4th in February 2022.
By the end of the season, QPR finished 11th after a catastrophic run in Feb, March and April whereby we lost eleven of the remaining 18 games, winning just four.
That was from being 4th, seemingly nailed on play-offs. Finished 11th.
