Won't happen and nor do I think it should but lots of calls on social media for him to return if Williams goes.

He wouldnā€™t work with Andrew Coleman again, not a chance. He was behind his sacking / leaving last year.

I was surprised how many were cheering his Southampton team during a live game on our concourse.

Southampton played a match on our concourse? How did I miss that?

Seriously, NO. If Martin comes back I reckon there's a lot of fans, myself included who wouldn't go, crowds would drop further. Martin has been found out, I think.

I'm not saying he should come back, just that there were a lot of supporters cheering on his team.

A "lot" eh, I wonder what that amounts to, 20....50....200? Maybe some of them were cheering the opposition?

There are people here who still love Martin, obviously not myself though!

You need to explain your theory that he may have been "sacked". Southampton paid compensation reluctantly.

He may have been eased to the door like Sousa was but that is not sacking. If Coleman wanted him out they did well to get compo but why then would the club go for one of Martin s ex colleagues?

From memory Coleman arrived in May but Winer was still in place. It has been suggested while the US based owners were happy to talk a new deal Coleman perhaps did not.

The key question is who cancelled the flight to the USA and why?

My perception was the Southampton had already approached Martins people and US people pulled the plug. It could be the club pulled the plug and Martin then was on contact with Southampton.

Either way there is no sacking. The matter is resolved so no need for

Coleman was the chairman in May well before Martin left, without going over old ground he was also in discussions with Kaplan in February, hence the meeting before the Millwall away game in March last year with Martin.

Nothing else is correct, thatā€™s what happened.

Coleman tried to remove himself from Martin leaving by making a silly statement that he wasnā€™t Chairman until August. Utter nonsense. That may have got by half the Swans support but it didnā€™t get past us.

It wasn't Coleman who had a meeting with Martin in London prior to the Millwall game. A new deal was the furtherest from their mind.

So who cancelled the trip to USA and why?

The options are as follows.

a) Martin because he was joining Southampton
b) Levien because Martin was joining Southampton
c) Coleman because he wanted Martin to leave.

It is my perception ( and may be incorrect) that Coleman distanced him from the May start date to not accept responsibility for the dreadful financial performance ofĀ£17m loss.

I saw the Kaplan trip as either a trip to tell Martin to buck up his ideas or a team talk to sooth over deep frustrations over the window. Martin had managed to fall out with three players all getting paid good money with two a high asset valuation. The team were not playing well.

Martin accepted he lost his mojo but came back to form after the visit and some reflection.
