January Transfer Thread 13:27 - Dec 23 with 53666 views | KeithHaynes | Done some asking and Oli McBurnie is most certainly up for a loan back to the UK this window. I’ve been told four Championship clubs are interested. This will all fall on the fee’s involved plus he is on in the region of €36,000 a week. Big numbers but we know how these things can be negotiated. Do we have the money ? Yes. P&S will need to be positive and only the club really know where we are with that at this moment in time, It won’t be massively healthy. Oli has played fourteen games for Las Palmas this season with no return. He has never been a prolific striker, but could he settle into Luke’s team ?

Nathen Broome joined Port Vale on loan. That's 4 keepers out on loan now.

Martyn Margetson is going to have an easy 6 months. Seriously though why were we so overloaded with keepers.
January Transfer Thread on 12:43 - Jan 14 with 662 views | magicdaps10 | We need to juggle the wages, we need to get wages off the books to allow us room to be able to pay the wages of incoming players without going past our limit. We clearly have scope at the moment to get one in but the outgoings will free up more wages to bring a couple more in. We can't sign a player from abroad unless they have a WP until Jan 29th.

Gone from 7 to 3 keepers. Unless there is anyone else ? If Sunday was anything to go on I would put Margetson on the bench against Cardiff.

I reckon grandad Margetson would do better than our Joe last Sunday.

I’ve got a lot of empathy with McLaughlin to be fair. He’s had absolutely no game time whatsoever and then thrown in trying to play the way we do. To be a professional keeper will suggest he has far more ability than portrayed Sunday and that rustiness, nerves and style played a huge part in his performance. It’s a spotlight position, make a mistake and it’s noticed usually because it results in a goal. He needs game time but that opportunity isn’t really available to him.

All done in less than a week - why do we make it all so complex ?

I very much doubt it was done as quickly as that. He would have been sounded out well before Edwards was fired.
