Whilst it’s been a while coming what a way to get off the mark.
So as way off celebration, I’m sitting in a bar in Tashkent called, of all things,
Hammersmith and recalling the best get off the mark finishes.
The only criteria, is the player has to have scored more than once for the club.
So Pizanti and Brazier etc aren’t acceptable.
Andy Gray against Man Utd springs to mind.

Paul Wright bagged a brace on his debut in a season opener against Palace in the late-80s, and then seemed to totally disappeared after that.

I seem to recall Vincent Jones scoring a good goal on his debut up at t'McAlpine.

Pretty sure Loic Remy scored on his debut on a frosty Saturday afternoon at Upton Park (my last visit to the first football ground I ever went to). Picked up a pass from Adel on the halfway line took it to the edge of the area then slotted it home with pace and accuracy. And he’s still available for the play-offs.
