She deserves nothing more than to live in utter misery and drudgery for the rest of her days. She gave the parents a life sentence, She's lucky she's allowed to lve.

It will be a life of misery. She’ll be looking over her shoulder for sometime yet. She may end up putting an end to it herself aka taking the easy way out.

It would be more humane to put her down . We should be seeking justice not revenge and justice is not having her living when she ended the lives of many babies .

We’ll have to agree to disagree on this but justice to me means maximum suffering.

That’s fine by me mate . You’re a good sort. For me, quick ,painless release into the great dust bowl on the sky I read on our sister site often as to how morally indefensible it was for the State to take the lives of murderers . This is our problem

My ‘objection’ to the death penalty is not made on a moralistic basis. In fact, quite the opposite.

Not just our sister site. A civilised country should not have capital punishment.

I think some crimes are so heinous they deserve the ultimate sanction. I can agree to disagree though. Murdering defenceless babies is such a crime in my eyes. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It’s the practicalities of it for me as well, Cat. Do we just hand it over to the state to decide who gets killed? Do we only give the death penalty if we’re 100% sure? What do we do with the criminals who we are 99.9% sure about. IMO not having the death penalty is a key part of out justice system. Holding that opinion doesn’t mean I have one iota of sympathy for the worst criminals.
Lucy Letby appeals on 11:57 - Sep 17 with 1791 views | Joesus_Of_Narbereth | I don’t agree with killing criminals but there’s no reason we shouldn’t make their lives inside as uncomfortable and unpleasant as possible. Limit their social interaction. Don’t give them tvs and games consoles. Feed them basic bland foods. You want to make prison the last place in the world people want to end up but a lot of the scumbags often find it a better life than outside.

From what has been said about Letby she had a fairly ordinary upbringing with two loving parents. She complained a few times to friends in texts that they were a bit over protective but there’s nothing to suggest anything about her upbringing or home life led her to do these horrific things.

Well, quite easily. Any barrister will tell you they will defend their client to the best of their ability,no matter what they have done . That means evil bitches like this will see a highly paid legal brain do his or her best to either get her found not guilty by casuistry on their part or if guilty,to have the most lenient sentence possible I questioned this before and got on in the neck from the Barrister username and others . I questioned barristers mentality and morality then,I do it now How does it feel? Ideally, this evil piece of work should be out to death . Immoral? What if she was innocent? Will it stop others? This is closure but no relief from heartache of new parents . Many will look after her in prison. Some will pray for her Get me drift

At least ( the smallest comfort ever ) the judge said that she will attend court for her sentencing . I understand your angst when it comes to defending lawyers but we have to have them , who knows what goes through their minds when they know the truth ,that's something they have to live with and without them we would have no legal system to speak of.

I’ve been in a lot of “ difficult” situations in Crown Court I would want the most vicious ,devious legal advocate possible . This is why I raise the morality issue Imagine defending Letby I knew the barrister who defended Rhys Jones killer. I worked with him.

It’s difficult to understand that barristers can prosecute and defend. But they do. And the vast majority do it very well.

Lucy Letby appeals on 19:09 - Jul 23 with 489 views | jacaranda | She shouldn't be allowed to appeal. She's been convicted of 15 life sentences. At best,a good lawyer may get a few of them taken off .However she's not going to get off them all. So that means we, the tax payer, pay for all of it. Defence and attack. There should be a law about appealing just to waste time and our money
