January Transfer Window Rumours 10:51 - Dec 30 with 150574 views | numptydumpty | What we have got. What we need. And what we can afford. My personal view. No one to sell currently. Our saleable assets are at their lowest valuations currently given recent form. Others will know contract situations and wages. Etc. I understand there is zero money to spend. Am personally expecting three or four loanees, at least one striker, one full back, and one centre midfielder in Johansen style. No signings though. Bonne, Thomas, Nico and possibly Roberts - I would try to loan back, loan elsewhere or sell. Shodipo I think if someone on a par or better is available likely attempt be loaned out. It's though a notoriously quiet window so could perhaps only be two or three deals done and if we can't get certain players off our books , be it temporarily or permanently, I feel sadly the replacements will not be incoming !! The comments well we need two strikers that can put ball in back of the net !! Pure genius insight !! Money talks. Hopefully Critchley has his own contacts and we shall see... Crikey - apologies for crappy post - happy new year Rangers joys and girls !!! [Post edited 30 Dec 2022 11:02]

January Transfer Window Rumours on 13:14 - Jan 16 by aston_hoop | Sinclair Armstrong potentially being made available. Makes sense, at this stage in his development he'd benefit from half a season in the league below much the same as Eze and Chair did. |
If he were to go, I'd be very surprised if it's to a team in league one. Both Ebs and Illie were loaned out to teams in league two I believe.
January Transfer Window Rumours on 13:42 - Jan 16 with 6409 views | swisscottage | The biggest problem with Armstrong going out on loan is his inability to last much more than 50 minutes. Many managers won't persevere with developing someone else's player if they can get consistent play time out of them.
January Transfer Window Rumours on 14:13 - Jan 16 with 6246 views | LongRanger | More scouting than rumour, but I went to swindon v grimsby on Saturday, mates were sponsoring the game (great to see austin back again) but Swindon had a couple of really good players on the day, and both apparently doing well most weeks. Remeao Hutton at right back, need, and also, Saidou Khan in central midfield, strong, busy, breaks up play and uses the ball well, need. Both mid 20's, would be pretty cheap, may not be up to Champ level but worth a look.
January Transfer Window Rumours on 14:38 - Jan 16 with 6127 views | aston_hoop | Bournemouth got a new owner in December, the new owner purchased FC Lorient in France a few days ago and today Bournemouth sign Lorient's best player (no, not Paul Smyth, wrong team). It seems like we have a new Watford/Udinese situation then

I think he'd perhaps be better off in League 2 on reflection, give him a chance to shine more gradually one league at a time after his National League spell last season.. Its just the article mentioned many League 1 teams had shown an interest so its a possibility [Post edited 16 Jan 2023 14:39]

January Transfer Window Rumours on 12:05 - Jan 14 by distortR | and only paying out one win bonus in the last few months? The bigger picture, and all that........... |
LH has always said it doesn't really matter where we are between 7th and 21st financially. Higher up we are, more tickets sold, more money spent at stadium, more TV money etc, BUT that extra income is offset by more player and staff bonuses paid for wins/goals etc
January Transfer Window Rumours on 15:24 - Jan 16 with 5901 views | Hoopstar | Yeah - watch a fair few League Two games as a town away from Crawley, would have to fancy him to score a few goals at that level as some of the defending is just hilariously bad (mostly Crawleys - hello Joel Lynch.) Be a tad concerned if he couldn't get a few goals in a League Two team - pace alone he's twice as quick as any CB I've seen down there.
January Transfer Window Rumours on 04:54 - Jan 17 with 5406 views | Dixie_CT | Would the real Matt Smith, please stand up, please stand up? The Arsenal one looks interesting, although it is linked on clickbait sites. He has played two full seasons in League One and has wastefully sat on Arsenal’s bench this season. Maybe space in centre mid with Owens, Iroegbunam, and maybe Amos and Bettache, departing at the end of the season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
January Transfer Window Rumours on 07:46 - Jan 17 with 5252 views | dmm | A third Matt Smith at QPR in seven years would be some kind of record. This one might be a good bet to take on Johansen's mantle as he's a good passer of the ball and may have more to his game than the current understudy, Dozzell. When Critchley was at Blackpool he will have come up against him. It's the kind of signing QPR wants to be making.

£500,000 I believe. I think it was rushed through so that we could get some money in meaning other players could be signed. Furthermore, we could negotiate a sell on fee which would not have been the case had he gone for nothing at the end of that season, Could all be bollocks though.

Frankly, I'd take a Nandos gift card and tickets to Dom Ball's 'Locker Room Classics' tour, including 'the last turkey in the shop' and 'the white eared elephant'.

Very sad that my first reaction to this should be happiness. I really shouldn't be happy that other clubs might want our best players, but FFP dictates we need to sell, so, yaay, I suppose...

To be sad that you're happy ... Brian channeling his inner Jacques Derrida there.
| I am still Steve but no longer in Dagenham. |

I can't see a top 15 side signing him as first choice, but i could see most of the league having him as a very reliable cup and back up keeper. Some far, far worse keepers in that league. And his ability with his feet will be well sought after. Would be very sad to see him go, but he deserves a crack at the prem. Great keeper.

Typical nonsense transfer "story" Surely, all clubs, "monitor" loads of players all the time. Throw in the odd "potential" and "possible" and you have a story. Will seem sacrilege to some - but still not sure he's a PL GK just yet. Edit - Just seen AH's post and yes agree that may be the route he takes - sad really - suspect it will be like Smithies and Freeman - earn PL money but see your game time dry up almost completely.
