Price of a Pint 20:28 - Aug 4 with 6508 viewsTogg

Okay, Mrs T likes a drink at the Langland Brasserie. Me being a totally generous and altruistic type duly obliged, even after my persuasive suggestion of a cool one in Wetherspoons was thrown out of the equation.
To be fair it was lovely as always, sitting in the sun, beautiful surroundings and people watching. Yes of course you are going to spend a bit more....but £6.35 a pint of Morretti 🍻🍺. Wow!! Is this the most expensive pint in Swansea or can it be beat? Keith you just wouldn't pay this in Cadiz and I wouldn't when we are in the south east of the CDS.
Going back to the 80's theme. £6.35 - I would have a night in Bonkers a Donor Kebab on the way home and still have change.
TIGHT GIT ALERT 😜

I took an Italian colleague out recently, he asked me why everyone was drinking crap Italian lager (Peroni) he was even more gobsmacked when I told him the price.

Just come back from Naples area , not a Peroni or Morreti anywhere I visited. All German draught DAB or Radeberger. When i asked they said "we are wine drinkers first so we import the best beer" I asked what about Peroni and he said they keep bottles for tourists but only recently.

I must say that they are all starting to taste alike or is it me. Although fair play to Spoons Leffe on tap £3.20

Please Mr Artois bring back the original, and scrap the insipid draught.

Prices are increasing mate, even here, around a euro for a decent point five years ago, now more like €2.50 ( two quid ) but still value for money. A good glass of wine 1.50 coffee generally 1.20, quite competitive.

Still great value compared to the UK. How much for a tapa or do you get them gratis with a drink?

It depends whether you visit a Venta or normal bar or restaurant.
You can get some breadsticks and olives complimentary at a Venta ( a Franco inspired small roadside bar ) where these days in Cadiz it’s unusual although I know places where freshly bbq’d sardines are freely available with a cruzcampo beer.

I was in Nerja this summer and a lovely draught Miguel was anything from 2-3 euros, but was a fantastic pint nearly everywhere. A good bottle of wine in top restaurant was only about 12euros. There are town pubs locally that are selling 1664 for about £3 but this will stop as they are all struggling.

I can’t recommend Spain enough away from the Costa’s but even then they are worth a visit.
Nerva is stunning, words will never be enough.

We are regulars to Nerja for donkeys years. Have you ever done the Tapas bars. Any drink and a freshly cooked tapa for about 2.50 to 3.50 euros.

Keith, have you tried the Alhambra green bottle? It's 6. Something. Served really cold it's beautiful. Also Alhambra on tap if kept well beats the pants out of most Spanish 🍻🍺

Yep, but like going every other night to a nice restaurant. Tried out a restaurant called Naturale by Hemingways, this visit superb. On a par or better than the established favourites klie 34 and Pata Negra etc

Great bit of marketing by whoever owns Peroni/Moreti, 50% more than Stella or my favourite Sharps Offshore pilsner, or any of the premier league lagers. They’ve made it more expensive because it’s ‘special’. What a load of bollocks.

Madri is aimed at British drinkers who have spent years settling for Carling/Fosters (Beer is insanely regional though. Bristol drinkers go through stuff that Swansea drinkers reject out of hand). Naturally it'll do better.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Someone told me last week, it was about 7.50 a pint down Singeleton Park on Saturday night for the Anne Marie concert.

There would be some definite ducking out of rounds at that price.

First to the bar in Wetherspoons to get the round in. Then go missing during the gig.

Yes. It's good but in town Ricon del Sabor does an amazing Paella which you have to order the day before.
