Expectations on Russell Martin this season on 15:13 - Jul 22 by jasper_T
For some people "supporting their club" is about staying positive and as a consequence shutting down any and all criticism, even when they don't or can't actually disagree with it. There's nothing wrong with optimism and cheering your side on through thick and thin, come what may, but try to accept that other people engage with the sport and their club differently.
It's not an agenda (usually). It's not trolling (usually). Some people like to analyse, criticise and even have a moan. Pessimism about our chances given what we've seen isn't an attack on the club. There are a few posters on here that spend more time telling others they're not "proper fans", or to go watch some other team/sport, than actually talking about football. It's very easy to put a poster you don't like reading on ignore and never see their posts, it's the repetitive arguments that make the forum worse to read for everyone.
A good fair post. I am doing my best not to get involved with Dr P's posts. However as he has something to say on every single minute aspect of this forum, it is proving difficult

That's a fair post Jasper.
Unfortunately once one person starts acting the clown and not understanding others opinions then the floodgate opens and that is what has happened not just now but down the years....... Always the same poster.
Unfortunately obsessive people will be repetitive, it's a massive weakness in people and they are unable to see that side and will make excuses for their weakness and blame others.
Site won't improve, as much as people know that he brings things down, he serves a purpose for the site and I understand that but there is certainly no respect for him other than his other usernames and 1 or 2 mates who like creating a shiite storm to make themselves feel better about themselves.

Good post. True fans want success no matter how unrealistic as without that hope there is nothing a club can offer.

We ( on the site who write reports etc ) have slated Martin at times, and praised when he has done well. From a football perspective you are right of course, there simply cannot be a constant tirade of views regardless of where they come from repeating the same old, same old.
I can’t see Martin leaving even if we lose the first four, then win a few and lose another four. He may well be on the brink, but that simply won’t and can’t happen.
His issue will always be the slow possession we continue with. And that will continue at times, that’s the way he plays. Yes, he has to up his game, we all know that, but the constant repetition of the same thing even bores me at times.
Good post btw.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

With respect Keith ,some or just me really ,see matters in a different ljght. The "support" for this individual has no basis except hope. He has shows nothing t suggest he is going to make us whole again and mistakes are repeated, decent lads off loaded and solid pros sent to chew grass. It aint on.
I get bored reading the love fest myself and I care not if I am in a minority of one.
We also see boring posts on Independence ,for example, and complete disrespect for English people time and time again.

And the weather is shyte here too
But you hijack every thread with your Martin tirades, I'm happy to wait for the season to start.
But if we are in the bottom 6 after 10 games I'll certainly be moaning.
Oh and it's a beautiful evening here
You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

That's like groundhog day for you. Cadiz is blessed with beautiful weather all year round I hear ? The proof of the ( Christmas) pudding is in the eating though " What's that coming over the ( Cadiz ) bridge ? It's STID's van it's STiD's van" ( to the tune of What's That Coming Over The Hill )

You are in a gang if you disagree with him and agree with someone else. Yet if you agree with him and disagree with another poster you are not.
The joyful world of a deluded poster.
Not at all, agree or disagree by all means.
SirJon disagrees with me sometimes, Prof used to disagree with me sometimes, OHL disagrees with me often… so I accuse them of being in a gang? No.
Attacking posters for their views done in mob fashion however is an online bullying gang to try and coerce opinion to mirror theirs. It has been in force for a good year now and will no doubt continues.
But you already knew that.

So I should only have a view on some things but not others, because you don’t like it?
I hope you can hear my chuckle as I read that.

What are you piping up for ?
ITK ? According to him Piroe hates Martin and is on his way out of the club. You and him should go off into the sunset and form your own clique ? Have him banned ? What would possibly think I care enough or am able to fo that?
Where did I say Piroe is on his way out of the club?
Let’s not go making things up now shall we. He has refused to enter into discussions for a new contrast, that’s far and away from “on his way out”.
You have asked for my banning many times, simply because you cannot debate my views without personal abuse. You aren’t remotely clever enough to understand the points I make let alone debate them…. Hence we end up with you ruining threads like this.

You have a high ( and unwarranted) opinion of yourself chum. Your "points" are not rocket science. And you have intervened at a point when some posters ( including the site owner ) are having a bit of banter to drag the thread into an argument again - and you accuse me of ruining threads ?
As for asking for your banning many times, not sure I did, but would be happy to see you and your incidious chum AC gone off here, it's true. Cheerio now

I will interject when I see your indiscretions, whether that is when the site owner is having a bit of banter or his newly vegan tea… makes no odds to me. Your nonsense and lies will get addressed as and when I see fit.
Now where did I say Piroe was on his way out of the club?
I know for a fact he doesn’t like Martin or the way the team plays, I know for a fact he would like to leave, I know for a fact he refused to enter negotiations for a new contract in the hope the club would be forced to sell him.
But the above is dependent on the club, not Piroe. So I can’t say he is on his way out and have never said that. Although I would guess the club will have their hand forced by him sooner rather later and get him his move. I would not be overly shocked to see him start the season elsewhere.
I think it’s time you pretend to put me on ignore again as you are on a fast track to destroying the site yet again with your jealous and brainless nonsense.
Behave yourself.
