Yet again I missed all this
Had a quiet drink in the brewery tap which was half full than earlier in the season
A few herberts here and there but none threatening
The only aggro was the div in front of me and he his stupid sons giving it large to a couple of old boys , they then dropped their loads when a bigger Rangers fan called them out and melted away
No Charlie or bottle throwing

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Didn't even realise the Brewery Tap was there until after the game when we went for a few beers whilst waiting for the trains to run again

Decent boozer and will use it next time we play them

I've been offered the grand total of £8.46 for the four return tickets we had, a bit short of the £67 total

I'd query that mate. We had six tickets at £13.90 each and have had an immediate full refund for all of them - officially 102 minutes late though in reality it was more because we just gave up, went into town for a curry, and came back after it had all cleared out.

Has our idiot quota for away games increased this season? Definitely seems like it.

It came up at the fans forum the club Lee Hoos in particular very concerned about fan behaviour on match days. Noticed the increase in flares being thrown onto the pitch generally people getting angry over nothing. Seems not just football UK population pissed off and a minority of them go to football to let off steam.

Well, did you book direct through LNER (much easier if you did)?
If so I got an email from them Saturday night saying 'you're journey qualifies for one click delay repay, click here and we'll send you the money back to your card'. So I did and they did.
Failing that, there is a form to fill in on their website under delay repay.

Trainline and others probably more complicated.

I think this is maybe it. Trainline contacted me on Saturday night and I submitted it through them. LNER emailed me yesterday with that offer, so I'll be querying it directly with them now

walking towards the ground around 1pm a group of early 20ish(I think) were singing P'boro a hole I want to go home. Felt like saying to them why dont you turn around then.

Sat in the old stand lots of teenagers with totally glazed eyes and some not really knowing where they were.

Think its more of a charlie epidemic more than anything

Yep, must have been walking near me, also got in about 1ish and walked in to town following that group of idiots.

Was OK overall, was a bit worried before because of the horror stories from last time but the biggest issue for me and my little one was the hassle with the train back.

That said, feel lucky to have missed idiots throwing bottles, and the sooner that Chel*!* rent song gets weeded out, the better.

Trainline was long winded I had to put in all the tickets separately rather than one booking

We were stood at the back to the right of the goal and there was a few youngsters who’d had too much of something. One of them sat on the stairs with his head in his hands and he looked like he was asleep. Then they started singing about meeting the home fans in the car park after the game.
Luckily I went to the toilets before the rush started at 3.35,but it was as bad as our last trip there earlier in the season, but we didn’t even have a goal to celebrate.

well i didnt go and my thoughts are, when the trains were delayed and a "one under" can be a 2 hr time frame, so police knew they had 4000 qpr at peterboro , some may already have been tanked up, so could they have closed pubs near the station? ok fans could wander about and find one, but many wouldn;t. the same for police near Euston and King's cross, . i recall a time ago when we were at plymouth and police shut down all alcohol sales,. so if police let fans drink for 2-3 hrs , fair to say troube is likely.
one thing, withiout a national rail map to hand, could qpr fans have been sent UP the line to brum and divert to London via another line? or something similar?

They could’ve gone via ipswich and Colchester.I suggested that to a few fans struggling to get back to London. It was 1 1/2 hours to Ipswich and about 1 hour from Ipswich to Liverpool st.Assuming there wasn’t rail replacement buses running.

If you claim for the train about 17.56 due kx 19.22 arrived back 21.52 on the 19.30 departure you sre entitled to a full refund of the total ticket cost as more than a 2 hour delay Just enter the reason for delay was you could not get onto the platform due to overcrowding.

Two things here -
First, you could not close the pubs for some time as the Calcutta Cup was on and most had that on the TV on a big screen or so. Try telling the rugger fans that they now have to leave the pub because of rowdy QPR fans. I wonder where that would have gone?

Second, there were a few other ways of getting back to London, but at a cost. I sourced a route via Leicester which leaving at 6:50 would arrive in London at 9:30 on the cheaper options. That was £40 with a senior card. Going via Cambridge was not an option as Greater Anglia were not running to Liverpool St and those to Kings Cross still had to go via Stevenage. Someone even though about a taxi/uber for the 32 mile trip to Kettering and then take the train from there.

Cheers, I went through Greater Anglia's website as the LNER one makes me want to shoot myself in the face and doesn't show you the cheaper fares

I saw someone on another forum did just that. Leicester I think he said. They got to KX at 7.15pm which was good work compared to the ne we were on which was one of the first out of Posh and got there at about 9pm.

sadly events happen on the railways, the tube and national rail, people cross tracks or go onto railway thru their fences to get footballs etc, it is common but when they gte hit, it affects 1000s and can cost £250k for a short delay.
alternate routes is one thing but i don't profess to know the uk's links , as for rugby on tv, well police stopped qpr going into pubs near london bridge a few yrs ago, we'd got back from millwall and rugger was on, a police van drove onto path to stop us going into a pub! we were herded to a side street and questioned to our adresses? then some bright spark said " you are a west london club and we will take you back" ok i live near soho, others lived in kent etc etc....henceforth we were forced onto an empty tube train, escorted to green park and let go!

Thameslink have ‘confirmed’ that I was delayed between 30 & 59 minutes and have refunded about 1/2 for that leg of my journey. What utter bollocks.

Nearly saw that last Thursday. Was out at Chafford Hundred (anyone from that region will know this is a single-rack, single-platform station). Three kids (late teens) were fiddling around and something dropped on to the tracks. So one guy jumped down with the train about 2-300m away coming towards him. He jumped straight back on to the platform, somewhat well on time, shouting at his mates. Pity the idiot kept his phone in his back pocket as it popped out and landed between the tracks - f'in fool and just deserts.
