It’s not part of the clubs DNA either. We played incredible football for 10 years or so, it’s not as if we’ve been brought up on it.
Maybe I worded that badly. In a squad without many goal scoring options or creative midfielders, he shut up shop and relied on Ayew to nick us wins. With a more balanced squad (assuming we bring in some creativity) and no Ayew, it would make sense to be more expansive.
From the outside, I’d rather he stay now. Having said that, I don’t know how committed he will be, whether we have a replacement lined up etc, so I haven’t got an informed opinion. | | | |

I’m definitely concerned. As I said, six weeks ago I’d have been happy with a clean break. We’re at the stage now where he either stays amidst the backdrop of touting himself around London all summer, or we bring someone in just before the season starts.

It has been obvious to anyone with half a brain cell the club wanted Cooper gone.
Wouldn’t be surprised at all if new manager has already agreed a deal and has been working from outside. Winter wants Cooper gone. |
I obviously have no brain cells why if the club wanted him out did they sign one of his targets (Piroes),involve hi. him in the acquisition of Walsh.then lead preseason training...and give an interview in the official site when if they wanted him out he should be at home on garden leave whilst a compromise deal completed...nog fully involved with the preparations for the start of the new season | |

We don’t know that though, do we? Fulham said they only spoke to one manager.
Remember “touting yourself around” is probably actively approaching clubs. It’s false to keep using that to describe this situation, I have no idea why people keep doing it (well, I do really).
You say he couldn’t have made it clear he wanted out, but the point is that it isn’t clear at all. He hasn’t said anything, we are looking for scraps from the media and people are seeing what they want to see. Those that want to paint him in a bad light say “it’s clear he wants to go” those that don’t say “there is nothing to report, business as usual”.
The club didn’t make any fuss regarding Martinez, Cooper or Rodgers either. It’s a case of pay the contractual buy-out or move on, you can’t make a fuss and stop your manager talking to a bigger club these days. It plays itself out on n these instances, no fuss necessary. | |

Seems incredibly odd timing.
I can certainly see why there may be some conflict behind the scenes. Cooper will understandably want a new improved contact and an actual workable budget this time, which I’m not sure we are in the business of providing these days, not to any great extent anyway.

As i have already said, it does seem strange that the "club want him gone" given that it appears some of the signings are players he knows and has talked to ( Walsh) and others who have been Cooper targets ( Piroes) and he is activiely invlolved in preseason.
Lots of people will speculate, rmours abound from mdeia speculation especially after his name was touted for Palace and FUlham , amd supposedly for the England U21 job.
The Coopeoutists will latch on to this in the hope he will be replaced, people who know those ITK will hear whispers..and develop them BUT if we going to part withour manager it need to be done NOW we are 2 weeks away from the start of the season so if there is to be a managerial change it has to happen this week ...even then thats late otherwise we will get a slow start to the season.... | |

Maybe because he's served us 2 years of crap football? The 'ends justified the means' according to his supporters. Yet we're still in the Championship.
We need to think differently again. Enough of this negative "be careful what you wish for" mindset. Our club was most successful when we weren't afraid to make bold decisions. Let's get back to that.
