The 'Silent T' Match Thread 08:58 - Feb 1 with 57086 viewsDorse

My record in starting match threads is something akin to falling down an open sewer to avoid walking under a ladder but here goes:

I would expect a result today. Preferably a win but failing that, a draw. However, a loss is also possible,

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Don't want to be pessimistic here - but this is genuinely one time I can see a 'right 'ammering' sadly. 5-0 Watford.

It's Monday. In winter.

AND ITS LIVE!!! (said in Martin Tyler type voice)

The better the opposition the better we seem to play.

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Werewolf?

Igor: There.

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: What?

Igor: There wolf. There castle.

Disclaimer: I have a degree in German but my accent is pretty rubbish so as we speak, there is probably some German or Austrian posting a hilarious anecdote about something I once told them in near incomprehensible Deutsch

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Not sure this is true though we’ve deserved some better results- we have five points from 36 against top half teams.

I think based on this I may switch off the phone and watch a film.

Never knowingly right.

Just 3 - Kane, Chair and Ball, in tonight's starting 11, were in the team that lost 1-0 at home to Bristol City exactly a year ago. Barbet and Lumley were the subs but did not play.
Is the churn good or bad?

assume Wallace at left back.
who's going to supply chances for Charlie other than Chair?
Kane better not be wearing his Toblerone boots again tonight.

Add Wallace. So just 4 from last year.

Looks like Kane and Wallace as wingbacks to me. Not sure Wallace has the pace to get up and down to be honest. That's once and not the whole 90 minutes.

Dykes obviously has a niggle. Will be interesting to see if Austin and Bonne can form a partnership. I really feel for Adomah. If anyone has the experience to supply a front 2 it's him. Understand why they have stuck Stefan in as he is a physical player. Let's hope his tackle timing is in or we may end the game with 10 men Diakite style.

Never knowingly right.

Expect it will be wing backs with chair helping wallace when required most of our attacking play coming down the right me thinks

Probably wise not to put Niko up against Saar. Not saying Wallace will be amazing against him but you don't want your inexperienced players rinsed out. Most of their attacks come down the right side so should be in for a torrid time.

Looking forward to seeing what Johansen can do for us.

We'll be fine.

Looks like a (very stodgy) 4-3-3 to start with unless Johansen's further forward than his best position.

Thought we'd get hammered in the reverse fixture and came away miffed at being robbed of all three, so who knows.

Watford XI also not looking particularly expansive.

I hate it when we're the only match on. Hopefully everyone else will be glued to SSN.
