Curtis Retiring on 15:02 - Apr 16 with 6726 views | Lohengrin | A kinder, more decent ‘Gentleman’ you couldn’t wish to meet. He’s woven into the fabric of this club and has the respect of everybody who ever saw him play or had the privilege of being coached by him. A bona fide legend. With an impact comparable to ‘the golden boy’ Curt ought to be honoured with a statue of his own and the freedom of the city as a retirement present from us all in this part of the world.

Great Post. A good Rhondda (Pentre) boy is Curt. Never known anyone say a bad word about him regardless of who they support. Great servant for us and a few decent seasons for the Bluebirds too by whom he is also well-regarded. As we also now hold the lease why not the 'Alan Curtis' stand too.

Well put. A true gent and a real legend. I'm very proud to have a man of his ilk as a lynch pin of the club

Curtis Retiring on 16:27 - Apr 16 with 6482 views | Jinxy | Congrats on a glittering career Mr Curtis. Always has time to say hello, and so articulate when interviewed in front of the cameras when he stepped in more than once to help the club in its time of need. As has been said, a true legend.
Curtis Retiring on 16:46 - Apr 16 with 6418 views | monmouth | I saw his Vetch debut. Far more of a cornerstone of our identity than chancers like Jenkins and Dineen could ever be. I hoped he would stay forever. Far more than the kettle man he pretended to be and stuck with him, and a thoroughly decent man. Enjoy your family, King Curt.

Totally agree with the comments. Twenty six years ago last Christmas, within days of our son being born I was in the Swans shop showing our new born to Moira and the rest of the staff. Alan came in at that point and straight away put a ten pound note in the baby's hand. Top bloke and a wonderful servant to the club over the years. Wishing you a long and healthy retirement Curt.

Completely agree, had lots of banter with him back in the day in The Griffin. A Swansea legend, and also very popular with our lot as well. Good luck to him in his retirement.
