I'll wager he won't be in charge this time next season...Teams will soon pick us off for playing 5 at the back...we are stumbling over the finishing line..Monk,Guidolin, Bradley, Clement and now Carlos...Negative football gets you know where...What's Roberto doing after the world cup!!?

I'm really struggling to get a grip on this thread. Not sure what people want or were expecting? The guy has performed a minor miracle with what's at his disposal, and should be getting nothing short of 100% backing off every single fan. Never mind fckn nitpicking.

I get the point if it to a degree. We've been in this position below. Take last year, Clement was our saviour and look how that went.

Would Carlos be good over 38 games or was his strength in getting us out of trouble. Could he get us out of it if he got us in trouble? Does he have the stamina, he only seems to favour short term contracts?

A lot depends on what he (or anyone else) has to work with. Would he have the enthusiasm if he wasn't supported in the transfer window which may very well be the case?

I'd keep him personally but if possible on a rolling contract.

He has my 100% backing.

Just don’t think he will be the gaffer next season

6 games you mean bar West ham
..Brighton, hudds, spurs, man.utd, wba...where the West ham performance came amongst the others is unbelievable really
All other 5 games we have been totally embarrassing and offered little.

Some of our fans really frustrate me. Many on this thread critising Carlos for his defensive play yet others quote the Brighton game .....where despite being a goal down Carlos threw all the meat on the BBQ and went into full attack mode resulting in us bein g exposed at the back and surrendering more goals and people now are using this game as an example of a slide.Huddersfield we were down to 10 men from early doors losing our most influential player of late.....expecting a result at Man U with our current squad is a little mad and whilst yesterday's performance was nor great we got a point...what would people prefer no points and "attractive " football or yesterday's outcome.yes 3 points would have been better but WBA experienced the new manager bounce and had Ayew put that goal away just before half time it may have well been different.
Given where we were when Carlos joined he has done a gray job with the resources at his disposal.
Some posters on here and we are all entitled to an opinion really do at times have no sense of perspective. Yes we en joyed some great football following Roberto and subsequent managers up to Laudrup....whilst Monk had his part to play in the dismantling of that it began when we joined the PL and the whole band of brothers and team structure begun to be dismantled as we were forced to recruit "mercenaries ". That said I do not want us to give up our PL status and whilst in Decemeber I did believe we would be relegated this season I am now more optimistic of us surviving.
Hopefully our woeful recruitment system will be overhauled as in the last two summer windows our marque signings have been disasters....Borja,Sanches,Bony,Mesa.....neither Roberto or Brendan would be successful with this squad or what possible crumbs may be thrown down in the summer.

If we stay up, other Premier League clubs in the bottom half will want him.
His future may depend on what Jorge Mendes wants?

No it won’t. Agree with what you say, though Southampton and West Ham have better squads than a good few teams above them.

Tons of credit to Carlos whatever, it’s easy to forget how dead and buried we were at Christmas time.

Thats all irrelevant what he has done at the beginning..like I keep saying have you seen the last 6 games!!..bar West ham we have looked worse than any other team not even looking like wanting or capable of winning...so many fans are blinkered its like deja vu 3 seasons running meaning we be looking again at xmas for new manager.
CC had us playing at first and PC had us do an end of season run...none are capable of longer term..I know itll be proved right as atm we suck.

If he wants 100% backing he should win every game.

85% for me, no more than that.

How many players do we have missing with long term injuries? Bony, Fer, Angel... I’m sure I forgot someone

Lets be nice, we're all newbees on here.

And like I keep saying, you seem to be including the FA cup game against Spurs, but not the one against Sheffield Wednesday.

Our last 6 games (counting cup or not) we have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 2. Repeat that in our next 6 and we’ll be fine.

Drop Fer into this midfield instead of Carroll and we instantly improve, Never mind having Jordan Ayew or Wilf Available.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

He has done miracles with the meagre squad, injuries, and only two signings in January.
IF he is giving the board's full backing to sign who he needs in the summer and get rid of those he doesn't then we'll do much better next season.
If he isn't given the support (which is what I fear will happen) I think he'll be walking into another job almost as soon as the whistle blows on the Stoke game.
