Britton doesn't hold back 21:28 - Dec 26 with 6120 viewsharryhpalmer

“You cannot make basic errors, whether that’s your set-up at set-pieces, second balls or misplaced passes, because you give yourselves no chance."

"...if you make basic errors that you would expect to see in academy football, a team like Liverpool are going to punish you.”

“But after the second goal, our confidence went completely. Even then, you have to make sure you give everything you have got.

“As players we have all been in difficult situations, but you still remain professional and do the right things for the team.

“But out there, I have to be honest and say I didn’t see that from a lot of players.”

The scumbags win again. Leon had little choice, either take the job or appear to abandon the club when it needed him.

Leon starting to take criticism is just what they want. Deflection from the real culprits and more divisions in the fan base.

Exactly this. Divide and conquer!

He's accepted a job he's not qualified for, he's done it out of sentiment, but it doesn't help us.

I agree he's been chucked into the Lions den unarmed, but he was never gonna say no. Well he sort of did by saying he didn't want the job but was happy to take it on short term, don't know where he or we go from here though, games coming thick and fast now Watford Saturday, then Spurs on Tuesday. Ouch!!

No FCUKING way can this smashing be put down to leon

Hes been pressganged into this position through his love for the club

Hes obviously been told that they will have some chump in place asap

But the question is which chump would take the job at this basket case of a club

Due to the lack of planning and foresight by those above him, the caretaker role could only have been given to him, Curt or possibly one or two others.

Under no circumstances am I going to raise my hand and give him stick for showing the balls to give it a go.

We were torn apart by a rampant Liverpool team - so what. Greater teams than us will suffer similar fates this season. I’ll flip it on its head now and ask for consideration of how he got us organised within 48 hrs to take a point versus Palace.

I know he’s not the answer long term but criticism of his decision is wrong.

That easy, we looked exactly the same against Palace as we've looked in most of clements games . He didn't exactly re invent the wheel and the performance and result was clementesque

He probably should have said no, but we all know where the real blame lies so Leon will rightly get a free pass on this one, but we need a Manager and we need him now.

FFS mun, he had probably two training sessions max to prepare for Palace.

I thought we were far more progressive against Palace than most if not all of Clements games this season.

Not saying it's the answer though. Far from it.

Leon must not be blamed here. If anything, it demonstrates further his love for our club. But he must be strong with the hierarchy and even perhaps give them a deadline.

Theres no doubt he has love for the club, but sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. God knows what Jenkins said to him - but he shouldn't of taken this on, even though he done it with the best intentions.

Poll: Who should take over from Jenkins?
