Ah that's sad news and seemed a true gent with a lovely dry sense of humour and fun.

Bond/The Saint is his legacy but i absolutely loved The Persuaders (when my parents allowed me to stay up and watch it).

RIP

I used to love the Saint when I was a kid in the sixties, think it was on about 7pm on a Sunday night.

My dad once told me that Roger Moore couldn't run, and had to have a stunt double to do it. I have never checked this but told everyone it's true. Original fake news.

RIP

You beat me to it on The Persuaders front. I too loved that when I was young, in fact, I was just watching an episode on YouTube.

A sad loss, RIP Roger.

Brett Sinclaire ...Blinding..
Those titles are superb.
Didnt it have a spot on Sunday afternoons back in the day Crowe?

The Persuaders was on True Entertainment last night at 9pm. Oddly whilst watching I was wondering where Roger was these days...now I know!

I gather he was a top man from those who knew him. RIP.

i was having a coffee on holiday in Monaco about12 years ago and a very demur lady parked her Lotus Elise next to us - Sir Roger Moore was in the passenger seat and he literally fell out of it onto the pavement and had to get on all fours to get himself up! Very sad to see but did think for someone of his age and size a Lotus wasnt the most practical car. However, once he got to his feet he reached in the car put on a Panama Hat walked over to us tipped his hat to my wife and in "luxurious" english says "good morning" to my missus.

Made her holiday!

Yes, it was on Sundays. My brother even got himself a pair of black driving gloves as worn by Tony Curtis. I loved Roger Moore's fashion in the late 70s😇

Definitely Sunday afternoon and after the Big Match, if I remember correctly.
