I expect a lot of people who voted for him did not know they were voting for someone who was prepared to take us in to an illegal war and sewing the seeds for millions of deaths. Apples, oranges. May like other MPs voted based upon the evidence provided by the government at the time, which was later shown to be fundamentally flawed ( "sexed up" ). Blair was in the position to know beyond reasonable doubt the WMD claims were utter b*ll*cks. May was not. Parliament were misled. There's zero doubt about that now.

I detest Blair, though he's welcome to share his views - as long as they're from the inside of a prison cell, IMO. I read an article a few months back that stated that, as a member of the Privy Council, then leader IDS would have been 'privy' to the same info that Blair was. So, by that reasoning, both sets of reprehensible vermin are just as culpable. Aside - and we're still believing the official accounts on Libya and Syria are we? Arf. [Post edited 17 Feb 2017 11:55]

Would IDS have been privy to the raw intelligence reports or the sexed up version? As has been shown, the raw intelligence was completely and utterly wrong. IDS et al would thus have been privy to incorrect information... EDIT: What we know is the government at the time "sexed up" the dossier to better match the US narrative. So I'd say Blair is waaaaaaaaaay more culpable. [Post edited 17 Feb 2017 11:59]

Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 12:08 - Feb 17 with 4977 views | Highjack | Its always fun when this slippery chunt slithers out of his lair. The presidency of the European Comission is the one job he has always coveted but he has always had the Iraq report hanging over him. Now that has given him an essential whitewash but Brexit has come along in the meantime and his chance of taking that top job is slipping through his blood stained fingers.

Both May and IDS were calling for Military action in Iraq before the dodgy dossier:- Before Blair had committed the UK to Military action http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/2228294.stm Conservative Party leader Iain Duncan Smith says he supports a pre-emptive US offensive against Iraq (September 2002) Conservative chairman Theresa May ..told the BBC's Breakfast with Frost programme. The prime minister would have her party's support if he committed Britain to military action, (September 2002) The dodgy dossier was produced in Feb 2003 Blair was wrong, IDS was wrong , May was wrong.

Based upon intelligence presented to them. Neither IDS nor May "sexed up" dossiers. The fact is, intelligence material was woefully incorrect. I'm not sure how you can blame IDS or May for that - are they meant to have had their own separate intelligence service available? Where Blair can be blamed is for the sexing up that occurred with his knowledge to strengthen the case. Which neither IDS nor May did...

All three are bought and paid for psychopaths bluey. The sexing up was most likely done for the benefit of the public. That's highly subjective of course but this is how the public is viewed, idiots to be misled by parliament and the media so the insidious agenda can continue *puts another layer of tinfoil on the ceiling*

Blair on Brexit.Incredible on 12:34 - Feb 17 with 4903 views | Highjack | bombing the shit out of a country then marching in occupation, issuing checkpoints and curfews, hanging the leader then pointing guns at everyone's heads and saying "you're a free democracy now" wasn't our finest hour on the foreign policy side of things either. The complete and utter lack of any sort of plan or strategy of what was going to happen after the conflict was completely General Melchettesque and he should be convicted for that alone. Read it again and look at the dates. Both MAy and IDS were calling for military action, before the publication of any dossiers, before Blair had called for military action. IDS specifically calls for pre-emptive action., based on his "belief" that Iraq's next generation of missiles present a,threat ( not that they currently have WMD) if IDS had been PM we would have gone to war in Iraq in 2002. He was wrong in 2002 as was May as subsequently was Blair in 2003.
