Best Steak in Swansea 22:46 - Jul 22 with 22501 views | truckjack | Was going to go to the superb Bouchon de Rossi on Saturday, but they're shut until 28th July so would like recommendations for somewhere else, not a pub really, special occasion so cost is not a priority.

We're playing Chelsea in a couple of weeks - these places are all within a couple of miles of the ground :-)

Best Steak in Swansea on 19:39 - Jul 26 by WarwickHunt | Ambition is critical, Andrew. I used to live in Queenstown Road - pukka Argentinian rib eye and good Malbec. Tidy. Much cheaper than Gaucho too. Popeseye in Putney is great and has the added bonus of not being north of the river... |

I'm gonna be up the smoke for work in the next couple of weeks. Perhaps I'll stretch my culinary ambitions further than Horseferry Road this time. But I doubt it.

Best Steak in Swansea on 20:12 - Jul 26 with 2318 views | Neath_Jack | Give me a good Evans pie and chips, with plenty of salt and vinegar from a tidy chippy anyday over some of that expensive crap. There is absolutely no way that some of the grub served in those restaurants is "worth" the money, only to be shat out your arse end a couple of hours later. As bad as the cheeky Nando's lot.

Might as well go to a 'spoons.

Best Steak in Swansea on 18:58 - Jul 26 by Flashberryjack | I know exactly what Truffles are.......If I'm wrong please do enlighten me ? |
Well if you knew that truffles are one of the most expensive culinary ingredients in the world, your original comment makes no sense: "Fair play mun....who the f*ck names a restaurant "Truffles" sounds like a rich old ladies pampered overweight cat.....so not surprised the people that run it are gay. I don't think I've ever eaten anything with truffles in myself and the cost of it is shocking, just pointing out why a restaurant that wants to be associated with good quality food might pick the name 'Truffles'.

If you're by the jubilee line I recommend a trip to Queensbury and the regency club. A cracking Indian working men's club. Darts, sky sports, nice pints and cracking north Indian/Kenyan grub. Garlic mogo, mushkaki, chicken wings, methi chicken and garlic naan... ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Boring fact of the day... The people who run it opened the first Indian working men's club in Wembley and sold it in 1989 for £990k. The food is spicy but it's really nice, cool off with an almond kulfi 👠

Putney's mainly residents' parking during the day but not impossible; much easier in the evening. Use public transport and have a few glasses of wine at one of the Hawksmoor restaurants instead. Probably the best steaks in London but not cheap...

Much more expensive than gaucho? Which one do you frequent? Have they still got the dulche de leche cheesecake on the menu? I remember they took it off for a while... I nearly went Michael Douglas falling down on them 😂

Probably about the same. Hawksmoor's wine list is considerably less eye-watering than Gaucho's though. Every Monday night is BYO with a fiver corkage. Hawksmoor in Spitalfields is the flagship but I've only been to the Covent Garden one. Go to the Manc Gaucho usually - the cheesecake is still on the menu. Neath_Jack would have a sh1t fit if he saw the bill.

Yeah that's a cracker. Been a couple of times there. I'll give that Hawksmoor a spin. Do they still have the terraza de los Andes on the menu at gaucho. That was nice. Then again you're probably only interested in the super malbec club list 😂😂😂😂
