Tangerine Knights Statement regarding - the Morty Statue and contact with junior Oyston family members
We are very disappointed to confirm that, as we understand, the Morty statue will not be replaced today, even though his family were assured it would be. We understand that there was, as suspected, possibly some damage caused when it was removed and that 'the company' are seeking someone qualified to work on it.
This is also expected to be reported in this evenings BBC North West Tonight programme.
Additionally, we have been advised to inform all adults not to contact, certainly by any private message or other form of direct communication, any member of the Oyston family under the age of sixteen. Any such contact by adults could, in our opinion, be used as part of a wider tactic to try and discredit fans. |  |
