Long term successor to Harry? 02:18 - Aug 28 with 8035 viewswaveydave

IMO Harry is very likely to be gone by the end of the season. Via sacking or retirement after saving us or taking us down. Who should be the man to take us on next? I'm pretty sure the large majority of Rangers would love to see someone come in who is going to stay for atleast 5 seasons and have a impact upon the club other than purely first team activites.

I'd be tempted to go with Moyes. Despite his complete failure at United, which is partly down to him but also the personnel were liable and the fact he was replacing the irreplaceable. Before last season we could only dream of bringing him in however with his tarnished reputation he could very well be delighted to become the gaffer (this is all presuming we remain premier league)

My second choice would be Pulis. The great work he done at stoke over a long-term period which was based upon the principles of hard work, character and discipline...oh and hoffing it upfield although he's proved he can play with abit more style at Palace during his great run there.

Previously I would have also been up for Malkay Mackay but we all know whats gone on there. Eddie Howe is the only other manager I could really think of but I'd say its pretty unthinkable that we'd take get him.

As poor as the entertainment on show has been the last few years, I'd rather play decent football and bounce up and down then come 17th every year under anti-football Pulis.

Roberto Di Matteo.

Never knowingly right.

McLaren would be my next choice

Felix Magath? Doing a great job down at Fulham. Unbeaten in one, now.

Fulham FC: It's the taking part that counts

Clement for me too.
Links with the club, through his dad.
Great links in the game with Real Madrid etc.
Left field appointment that could turn out to be the cornerstone of a fresh new era for the club.
I do, however think that in today's game, he wouldn't get much time if a few results went against him.
Redknapp rebuilt the club after the Hughes mess and now after signings we all rate, he is the anti-Christ, 3 games in after unluckily losing against Hull, losing away to a side that spent £100m on their squad and kept up tradition by giving fringe players the chance to lose in the 1st round of the cup to lower league opposition.
As much as its obvious to me that Harry is ready to retire, end of season at the latest, we can't say he has done a rubbish job here, that would just be untrue.

How did Redknapp 'rebuild the club'? Did he do it all on his own? I kneel at his feet, the man's a God.

Bare bones.

Arry will be replaced by whoevers agent tweets TF fastest.

Long term succession plans are as much of a pipe dream as Warren farm or 'the right sorts'.

Well, we had the likes of Mbia, Boswinga etc. and no team spirit and replaced them with players who got us promoted with players who at least tried.
I think he used short term fixes, but the remit was promotion.
The w@nkers we had when we were relegated would've got us relegated again IMO.
Not an 'Arry lover or hater, just find it funny that so many clamber for stability then want to sack the manager who got us promoted after 2 league matches.

It'll be whoever you've read a lot about in the paper, or seen a lot on television, or who has a mouthy, over-active agent. So, if he went today, it would be Sherwood, or possibly Pulis.

All recent jokes and bullshit aside, David Moyes. I am not the biggest fan of how his teams play, but if you want someone to build everything about a club up in the right way, operating on a reasonable budget with emphasis on youth and good scouting from lower leagues whilst improving what you've got and always thinking about the future, he is your man.

He wants to go abroad next apparently, but he needs a route back into English football at some point and his ability with something to prove would be a great mix for somebody....

ask Beavis I get nothing Butthead

Moyes wouldn't come here, our scouting, Youth & Training facilities are a mess
as a club we need to address those issues ASAP , even though TF doesn't have a clue
would like Karl Robinson to come in and do what he is doing at the Dons with an experienced number 2 with him
but saying that why would he give up a 30k stadium , good youth & training facilities
for our mess

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Why would they want or need to know anything about football? QPR is not a love affair of theirs, it's a means to an end.

I still don't understand why we scrapped Warren Farm. The board haven't created anything tangible at the club. The future of the club is not being built on firm foundations.

Tony Mowbray would fit that description but don't know if he has the drive left for it. His Hibs and West Bromwich teams were great entertainment but his subsequent failure at Celtic and Middlesbrough look to have knocked him a bit.
Doubt he'll get a job in Prem and he'll have to go the Championship route to get there again I think

Harry Redknapp is ruining my love for Football, he seems a paranoid character, I'm sure he knows his stuff on the training pitch, I'm dubious about his ability to pick a young player, in spite, of the Golden Generation at West Ham.
I'm puzzled by his strategy, his attention to detail, he doesn't seem to get any pleasure from the job, I rarely see the QPR players smiling when they play.
I'd take absolutely anybody with a coaching ethic, anybody who wanted their players to be strong, honest, fit, non-diving ambitious men who trained for conditioning in the morning and played Football in the afternoon for fun.
Give me a Coach who stands at the side of his pitch and supports his players, and who has the confidence to laugh at errors because they are actually lessons.
If you know this Fella, I'd accept Harry Redknapps resignation right now!
Get Paul Clement today as a very expensive Coach....all those Premiership Managers, Moyes, Pulis, MacKay, Lambert, Holloway, are no better really than we already have, they are the Touchline Ho's.
I need a Bobby Robson, an Alec Stock, A Terry Venables, or Paul Clement.

Five seasons? You're in cloud cuckoo land if you think our next manager will last that long.

Wanna take a guess at how many QPR managers since Alec Stock have lasted five seasons? I'll make it easy for you; none. Holloway almost made the five year mark, no one else even came close.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Massive statement based on absolutely no fact or evidence whatsoever.

I reckon he'll sell up and start an Emu farm in Wales.
