After the Rams' signing of Kelle Roos, ex-PSV Eindhoven youth goalkeeper, Saul Deeney has had his Derby contract cancelled by mutual agreement.
Deeney's now 30, and played only three games for County since joining the club from Burton in 2009. Next stop - Sheff Utd?
Nigel Clough's signing has now been replaced by the highly-rated Roos, who is 21 and had impressed many scouts before Eric Steele nabbed him recently - he's thought to have cost the Rams about £30K.
I think Eric still rates Grant highly, and commented to me at a fans' forum that he was still "young for a goalie" (29) and had potential to improve.
I wonder when we'll see Roos in action or at least in waiting, on the first-team bench.... [Post edited 31 Jan 2014 12:31]
