Referee — John Busby (Oxfordshire) 6 Gave some bits and pieces of nonsense — Mide Shodipo looked to have been fouled on the corner of the box late on but somehow got penalised himself; earlier having bought a spurious head injury claim after a QPR corner and stopped the play he returned the ball to Coventry even though Rangers had it in their possession 40 yards out from goal at the time — but overall not too bad and a world away from the pillock who was meant to be in charge of this one.
So far this season 76 yellows and three reds from 19 appointments, including the four yellows as a stand in at Coventry 2-0 QPR. This is his fourth Swansea appointment of the campaign already, following defeats at home to Luton (2-0) and away to Preston (1-0) and a 4-0 home thumping of Watford as recently as December 30. Last season he booked 120 and sent four off across 33 games — not far shy of 10% of those bookings came in one game between Barnsley and Cardiff where he booked 10 players. He took charge of Swansea’s 0-0 draw at home to Millwall.
