Garry Monk drew all the positives out of defeat on Saturday believing that the Swans matched the Champions in many areas
Monk told the Evening Post "We conceded a sloppy goal, it came from a mistake, but there were plenty of positives as well
"We limited them to not too many chances and I don't think Michel (Vorm) had too much to do in the second half.
"These are world-class players, we're miles away from them, but in terms of desire and effort we matched them.
"We wanted it just as much as they did and I think that showed.
"There would have been a number of teams who would have had us down for a 4-0 or 5-0 beating, but we know that if we're anywhere near our best we'll give anyone a good game."
