Huw Jenkins has ruled out a return for Bristol City striker Lee Trundle
The People yesterday claimed that Paulo Sousa was looking to make a move for the 32 year old frontman, but Jenkins says that there is no chance of the Scouser returning.
Trundle notched 86 goals in four seasons at the club before leaving for Ashton Gate, where he's scored just 10 in two campaigns at City.
"I don`t know where that one came from, but we have not expressed an interest in Lee," Jenkins told Wales Online.
"Pablo Counago was the only player we agreed a fee for. That deal is now dead as far as we are concerned. We have offered a good contract, but we respect that the player wants to stay at Ipswich.
"We are obviously disappointed, but Paulo has always said he has a number of options and targets. Pablo`s decision to turn down our offer means we will start to pursue other options.
"We are still looking and the manager and his staff continue to bring more players to the table. We will have talks, look at them and just see where we get to over the next few weeks."
