The Future Of The Club Speaks Out Friday, 5th Jan 2018 16:00 by Oscar One of our younger supporters has written a great piece about how he thinks the club should go forward, it's nice to see such a well thought out article and bodes well that the club will be well supported going forward.
Oscar may only be 9 1/2 but he is a passionate Saints fan and he seems to have a handle on what is happening at Saints at the moment that would be impressive from a supporter three times his age
Dear Southampton Football Club,
I am here to inform you about a crisis that must be dealt with. Our current manager `Pellegrino` is driving our otherwise successful football club into a place of jeopardy due to the horrendous squad selections. He constantly changes the team around meaning none of the team are able to play to their strengths as they can’t get used to their new teammates.
Wembley
Another reason to give him the sack is when we went to play Tottenham Hotspur we had gone through a two hour journey to get there and what do we do? We lose 5-2 once again due to wrong tactics, the wrong players starting and the wrong formation. I personally would play a defensive line up due to the naturally gifted players like Ali, Erikson, Kane and Son all capable of finding the back of the net. So why not play a defensive line up?
What squad to choose?
I would choose this as our usual team...
Gabbiadini
Boufal Ward Prowse Tadic
Romeu Lemina
Bertrand Hoedt Yoshida Cedric
Forster
Who to bring in ?
Lamela Spurs Winger
Coman Bayern Munich Winger
Can Liverpool Central Midfielder
Heaton Burnley Goal Keeper
Batra BVB Centre Back
Why to bring them in…
Lamela
He is greatly gifted and very comfortable on the ball and best of all he is confident just what our squad is lacking. I would offer around 18M
Coman
He has the same style of play but is far better. I would offer around 27M
Can
He would be a very good it with James Ward Prowse. I would offer around 20M
Heaton
To replace Forster as he lets in far too many sloppy goals .I would offer 12M
Batra
To replace Van Dijk as he has gone to Liverpool. I do not know how much to offer
I hope that all Saints supporters consider my views as I am dedicating this article for the future of our football club and hope that this article may change your perspective of our manager.
From Oscar age 9 1/2

It looks to me like a 9 year old kid, has a better view of the current state of our team than the manager. Speaks volumes

Oscar, you're amongst other passionate Saints fans.Me being a Saints fan for many years - and have ridden the downward roll coaster - nearly seeing our beloved club disappear off the face of the earth, supporting us at away games at such places as Bristol Rovers when in Div 1 - I feel SO FRUSTRATED that this excuse of a manager `Pellegrino` with the set of talented players at his disposal - has not a clue how to set up and organise them into a decent team. The players have shown GLIMPSES of what they are capable of ... But I JUST CANNOT STAND HIS OVERALL VERY NEGATIVE ATTITUDE. Like many many other fans I was willing to give the guy a chance - BUT as my posts from 3'rd November 2017 will verify - I could foresee what is now our reality WHY did I think this? I concluded that the points that we had already picked up wherein many cases Lucky points coupled with the observations that Oscar points out - with all the stupid team changes, idiotic substitutions & the timings of them proved to me and others that `Pellegrino` has not got a clue and is completely "out of his depth " and if he continues will take us down. What is really annoying ...... is the fact that if 9-year-old Oscar plus many many other dedicated Saints fans can see what `Pellegrino` is doing - just destroying our team ---- WHY CAN'T THE BOARD SEE THAT `Pellegrino` HAS TO GO TO SAVE OUR PREMIERSHIP STATUS ..... the conspiracy doubts are PERHAPS THE BOARD wants to take us down !!!!!!!!!

Encouraging comments from a 9 year old (sorry Oscar... 9½) but I think he may have to re-evalute those transfer fees when he finds out how little he can actually buy with his "grown-up " pocket money.

that young moron lost any of my interest when he put Mr Plod Prowsey in his starting lineup

Nice one Larry, does being 3 years older give you the right to call people a moron? Glad I’m not at your school.

Very articulate and well researched article, I wonder if he puts that much effort into his homework? I think James Ward-Prowse should have the nickname 'marmite' you either love him or hate him, I dislike him, so for that reason "I'm out"

Oscar 9.5 -he gets it. Well done nipperrr. Confirms my faith in young people. Whether you agree or not, the toxicity spread by negative puerile morons with their own individual agendas (ie 'hate' one or two individuals in the team /club) does spread quicker than any current virus. Many of us should know better, yes, we stumbled through this last round of the FA Cup, (were we expecting to?) but we can move on. The 'don't know what you're doing' song whilst possibly true was not relevant to what MP was doing at that 'moment', and with hindsight only proves that two wrongs do not make a right.
