FC Midtjylland Away Ticket Qualification Details Announced. Tuesday, 11th Aug 2015 16:23 Saints have announced the qualification details for Saints fans wanting to get tickets for the trip to FC Midtjylland.
Saints have received an allocation of 554 tickets for the visit to Denmark in 2 weeks time and Saints season ticket holders who have a minimum of 12 domestic league games to their name plus the trip to Vitesse are guaranteed a ticket.
However those who qualify but who are not going will not be able to buy tickets for others as was the case for Vitesse.
Tickets will not be issued by Southampton Football Club but will be needed to be collected in Herning on the day of the game by the season ticket holder in question who will have to produce photographic ID in order to get the ticket.
Tickets are £22 for adults and £12 for under 16's with no other concessions.
Details are as follows as listed on the club's official web site.
Tickets will go on sale with the following criteria: Wednesday 12th August (9am) 2015/16 Season Ticket holders who attended the away game against Vitesse and at least 12 domestic away games from the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons
Thursday 13th August (9am) 2015/16 Season Ticket holders who attended the away game against Vitesse and at least 11 domestic away games from the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons
Friday 14th August (9am) 2015/16 Season Ticket holders who attended the away game against Vitesse and at least ten domestic away games from the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons
Saturday 15th August (9am) 2015/16 Season Ticket holders who attended the away game against Vitesse and at least nine domestic away games from the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons
The club do not expect tickets to be remaining after Saturday.
Due to the small ticket allocation and the fact that many have already booked travel, the club will not be running official trips to the fixture.

Anyone think this is a fair way to distribute tickets? If you got to go to Vutesse than you can also get priority for Denmark. And if you can also get to Denmark then you get priority for the next round. So no one else gets a look in at any point this season... Tickets should be randomly offered to season ticket holders, or at the very least everyone should have the chance to do one trip if they would like to. I don't agree with is self-perpetuating system.

I can't say that I would want to deny fans who follow saints away so often a ticket to such a rare occasion as Europe. However I do feel that the club could have been a little more honest upfront. I'm a previous season ticket holder who moved abroad with work so membership is the only way I can sign up. This years £25 fee gave me the impression that I'd get a chance at tickets home and away in Europe. However I have no more benefit that last year when being on the database was free. Here's to taking my chances in the away section each round.... After all they are closer than St Mary's

Personally I think all those fans who travelled to Sunderland to see THAT abysmal FA Cup match in Jan or Feb 2014 should be given first choice!

Ddobsy I agree with you. There should be some tickets allocated for Saints fans who live near the away stadium but aren't season ticket holders. I live near Watford, I do go to home games but cannot afford to go to every home game so I am not a Season ticket holder. I would however like to go to the away games in London and especially Watford (the in-laws and Watford fans) but because I'm not a season ticket holder I don't get a look in. You could say I could make more of an effort and become a season ticket holder but realistically that is not possible. And what about fans who have moved to Liverpool, Manchester or Birmingham who really can't justify a season ticket, do they ever get a chance to see the Saints play live?

Although I will become a victim of the away games visited rule, and would dearly love to go to Denmark. I do agree that the faithful few, who have shelled out for a season ticket then spend an enormous amount going to away games should be rewarded for their loyalty. My feeling is that maybe they could have chosen a larger stadium?

I think giving fans who went to Vitesse priority was a bit unfair on this occasion. I know plenty of season ticket holders who won't get a look in for European games currently because they were unable to attend that game (in school holidays too). I just hope we progress to the group stages and play some teams with large grounds.
