| Forum Thread | Recast. Even more of a con? at 15:32 7 Jul 2023
So Maybe I just love videos about Swindon and Fencing but... Whilst absent mindedly pressing play whilst watching he cricket/ tennis I notice that my account credit seems stuck. Then I notice that I am getting just1p credit for every add watched. I’ll have to watch the equivalent of the Lord of the rings to watch a Development game or pay for the privilege. Not happy. |

Just had a proper look at the table ( for the first time in ages due to the new hope) and my word we really should do this. At the moment, none of the other contenders have any games that are dead for the opponents apart from having to play the 2 promoted clubs, who, as we have seen ourselves, are very unlikely to rollover and submit. We, on the other hand...... |

Just watching the EFL show and thought I heard Char ear playing for us, which thinking about it, is probably the correct pronunciation. Did I hear right? Could make for some good chants? |
| Forum Thread | Are we brainwashing ourselves into defeat. at 09:05 19 Apr 2023
A psychologist called Asch proved that if enough people share the same belief, even if clearly wrong, those who disagree will conform in order to keep “in” with the group. I read the comments on Gareth’s interview and felt so depressed that I couldn’t bring myself to watch it. Until now. My word what negativity has been shared..that was hardly there. He’s hardly given up. It’s a good job us lot aren’t playing! I predict a win tonight and a draw on Saturday. See you at Southampton next season. |

Where’s that tin hat? 1. Wasn’t at the game. Watched from Denmark. Was as fed up as everyone else. 2. There’s a serious need for cool heads here. 3. Actually we played slightly better in some respects. 4 generally defended well 5 Balugan had a decent 85 minutes 6 players were coming back from long lay offs. Obvious rustiness. 7 Willock and Chair looked much more like their old selves ( albeit in limited time) 8 We are far from down and there are points to be had in every fixture if we can stay in the game 9 I understand collective disgust at perceived bad attitudes but we are stuck with them for the next few weeks 10 So we must stick with them with positive passion ( as I heard many doing yesterday). This is a collective effort guys so let’s get behind the team and pick up the pieces when we know what league we are in next time around. We’ll still be there won’t we? |
| Forum Thread | The search for Wigan Pier...match thread? at 08:45 1 Apr 2023
I’ve never started one so maybe the hope won’t kill? Apparently the usual thread starters have left early to try to find it. I believe there’s a legend that if you have a selfie on it wearing the colours of the visiting team if grants them Orwellian powers and a guaranteed point. ( let’s not push our luck) |

And not just because er Do we care? We don’t have anyone involved who we will miss because they got tired ( assuming The Scots are sensible with Lyndon..could even help to get some fitness back ) The others are all currently playing and would we honestly miss them if they came back a bit tired ( even Senny?) might even clear their heads from the ongoing malaise by experiencing playing in a team that can win. Plus maybe, just maybe, a couple of our dead and dying might be fit for the next game? ( if they do a bit in he B team match we will know) |

Helmet on! Amazing how things can look different after a reasonable overnight pause for thought and sleep. Yesterday I watched on a non - functioning official stream from my spot in Denmark, where despair and gloom seemed natural. However, having been brave enough to watch the highlights it seems that while I was watching a small revolving disc and rebooting my struggling laptop, I missed all of our best stuff. We were well worth at least a draw and the attitude was good, helped in no small way by Martin ( sorry Clive) who has an important element missing from our too nice bunch. I sense a big result on Tuesday. Watch this space! You R’s! |

Good ~ Luton’s 1st and 3rd goals ( “goal of the season..Sky comms) ~ Dykes tried hard and not as bad as some claim ~ Some brilliant skills displayed at odd moments and places ~ no yellow cards Bad ~ can’t cross a ball to a specific place /player ~ midfielders not supporting quickly or with confidence ~ general air of sleepiness ~ not taking responsibility Critchley needs time Team needs JOJO Team needs some lucky breaks |

I think there’s understandable over-reaction to last night ( only watched on the box this time) so would have maybe felt differently if I’d been there but... Sometimes it’s just not your night. Brum played well, this time the Ref’s decisions cost us dear ( 2 extraordinary shockers) unlike Cardiff when they went our way. However, it’s the injuries that bother me. Losing players as early as we did made it hard for Mick and co to manage the game, which is one of his best qualities. Losing one...ok happens , but there were three in the first half. The Norwich game looms large. The squad is starting to look thin and I fear we may rush Willock back too soon and pay the price in November. Warbs supposedly rarely had a plan B. I think we are going to need one, and a plan C as well! |

Is this the most miserable run since we were last in the Premier league? To be fair, that was a lot better but there again, Preston were very ordinary. Ref was good by the way. And well done Murphy. |
| Forum Thread | Post match thread at 22:17 5 Apr 2022
Sky comms man said we already had our towels on the beach. Says it all. Players should pay the costs of those going to Preston..including my son and his mates. |

Not personally ITK but rumour is strong. |

Outclassed today I’m afraid. Again we seem to run out of steam second half. If we went up imagine the misery of playing teams every week who will be beating Fulham with ease. We need another year. There’s something to build on. |
| Forum Thread | All over for this season now at 11:00 22 Mar 2022
Awful news on the Offish Willock out for the season and poor old Marshall too. Let’s hope for a few good results against the odds and prepare for August. One good thing..We won’t lose our best asset during the summer. |
| Forum Thread | Factor influencing form drop. at 15:01 21 Mar 2022
I wonder Has Barbet been left out as he has been willing to commit to a new contract, as has happened before to others? At the same time Sanderson getting game time as there is already a provisional deal to bring him in for next season. And while on the subject, is he a wrong un? Made some awful blunders and didn’t seem too keen to get back to sort out. A bit of a flashy/ silky player? Hope I’m wrong, especially as he jay we’ll be part of next year’s squad. |
| Forum Thread | Post match thread at 14:47 20 Mar 2022
Is this a new idea? I’ve started it! A perfect place and time to over-react, which is allowed after that. Ok Crazy substitutions ( is there something we don’t know re contract stipulations?) End of the road for... Charlie Thomas Hendrick Gray ( probably) McCallum ( huge disappointment) On the good side the chance of our better players moving on is reduced ( won’t get the fee that looked likely so not forced to sell)so we have a core to start next time round Plus We won’t have to play Peterborough next year Because we are safe from relegation And we will obviously beat Fulham this year. |
| Forum Thread | New approach on Sunday? at 10:04 18 Mar 2022
I wonder whether we will get the ball forward more quickly... more long balls, 2 strikers, to cover the goalie issue ( less use as a ball recycler) and loss of Willock. Also a role for Ball and Thomas as nuisances. |
