| Forum Reply | Dunne delivers QPR's perfect present - Report at 18:37 23 Dec 2024
Top Drawer that Saffa - A report the "maestro" would be proud of. Brilliant game with the Loftus Road crowd in full voice capped by a brilliant Jimmy Dunne diving header at the far post in the 89th Minute under the lights in front of a packed Loft - We don't get many....but bloody hell days like that are to be cherished. Incredible to see us now up to 14th in the league table. A Varane, Field, Morgan midfield playing like that will give most teams a big test in the Championship. Big shout out to our Paul Smyth too - He was a menace to PNE all afternoon. [Post edited 23 Dec 18:39]

I'd be delighted with 3 points from those three games anything else will be a bonus anything less and we will be back to looking over our shoulder. |

Thanks Clive - Great summary especially for those of us not there but watching on TV. One thing that stood out was Anderson can now only be used as a second half sub. It really looks like his legs won't allow him to start matches at this level. I saw it close up and live at Leeds and it looked just as bad on TV in this match. Special shout out to the fans who travelled in great numbers at this time of year with the early kick off. |
| Forum Reply | Old foes, familiar faces and new trends collide at Ashton Gate - Preview at 07:35 14 Dec 2024
Thanks Clive - Great preview. My only visit to Ashton Gate was a couple of years ago for Barbet's last minute winner. It was a wonderful moment shared with my 14 year old Daughter who ended up three rows forward after the crazy celebrations. Moments in life and one that will stay with us both forever. Safe travels to everyone (decent numbers again) heading West - I hope you get to share a similar experience today. You R'rrs |

Poetry Clive - Pure Poetry. Due to work commitments I was unable to be in W12 so watched on the TV. Wow that first half was something special. Boys did well to come up second half and grind out the result which takes a little pressure off Saturday's tough away game in Bristol. Varane caught my eye again - I think this boy is going to turn into a very good player indeed. |

Me too - I was convinced this was our season to go down. However we now have hope and have shown we can also dig results out when needed. I predicted 14th at the start of the season and we might just have enough in the tank with a good January transfer market to get there. |

Away on business and managed to listen to both parts in my hotel last night. Great interview and thank you Clive - very enjoyable couple of hours listening. |

Thanks Clive nailed it again with some great one liners in there. I enjoyed the 93rd to 96th minute as even I thought we can’t mess this up now. Great to us playing with desire, tempo and energy and we need that same intensity now Wednesday night as if we drop it even by 5% we will come unstuck |
| Forum Thread | Kicking towards the Loft first half. at 17:38 8 Dec 2024
I think we won the toss and chose to kick towards the Loft first half. Maybe with our poor home form and the first goal being so important in The Championship it was a shrewd tactical move. It certainly worked and I quite enjoyed every tackle and header being cheered second half too. Actually made a nice change and I wonder if it’s a tactic we will continue. |

Cracking preview Clive - I don't know why but I fancy us today. |
| Forum Reply | Everything but the goal - Report at 08:38 2 Dec 2024
Brilliant report as always Clive. Like you I never saw this performance coming even after Wednesday night. A week ago I was convinced this was our season to be relegated now I have that horrible "Hope" feeling again. The best bit about Saturday was it was the first time my sixteen year old Daughter went to an away game on her own without me. She got the tube with a couple of her friends and I picked her up at the tube station afterwards. She was buzzing when she got back in the car. It was a real adventure for them on their own I don't know why but it was a very proud moment for Dad. Took me back to my first away day on my own in the early eighties. [Post edited 2 Dec 8:40]

Such a shame he got injured same time as JCS. I’m sure we would of had more points had that not been the case. |

Brilliant report Clive (as always) absolutely spot on. Agree we won't get far playing like that and Cardiff were woeful. But you can only beat what's in front of you and the 3 points keeps us in the pack. I'm expecting a bit of a tonking at Watford Saturday but have high hopes for our next home game against Norwich. We must beat someone at home soon even if it's by accident. Buzzing for the fans that made that trip on a cold November evening - I salute each and every one of you. |

I like him too - Very assured and steady. Needs to work on his left foot but is a young age and better days lie ahead for him for sure. Just a shame he's been injured and we had to put Dunne in the middle. Our defence is better with Dunne at RB. |
| Forum Reply | Celar's deepening nightmare leaves QPR well adrift – Report at 11:11 25 Nov 2024
Thanks Clive - Absolutely spot on I finally blew my top after the Celar miss we were screaming for Madsen to take it and were utterly shocked Celar had the ball. I had to apologise (again) to those sat around me including my Daughter. I really can't see any miracles this season so we do need to start preparing for League one next season. I just hope our owners don't cut their losses and pull the plug and we end up in administration. |

Whatever happens including relegation we must not sack Marti. He is an extremely good coach and the players are playing for him. We are in this mess because of injuries and poor recruitment and those will still be there for any new manager. We have just given him a new contract so to release him now will be expensive for a club in our financial position and who the hell in their right mind would want the job at this circus. |

I would go 3,5,2 3 - Dunne, Cook, Morrison 5 - Smyth, Morgan, Field, Varone, Saito 2- Celar, Lloyd Stop pissing about playing out from the back, get the ball wide and some early crosses into the box. We also have a bit of pace up top with Alfie and it's his natural position. |
