keeps his first clean sheet for a development side...in all reality this is where our future lies, the program that Fernandes and partners have must be a duration ten years if it includes a new ground...the academy apparently doesn't need bespoke facilities, we recently learned, but whilst this goes on, somebody, must continue to build up the stock of young quality players in the development sides....it is only in this way can we avoid getting involved in the Kia Kooribchian's and Mario de Marchi's (sic)...we lost Diarra because it wasn't clear who owned him...the transfer market is owned by car dealers, pimps and thieves...only apologies to the song of a similar DNA!

If Fer arrives, an international specialist central midfielder, how do you fit Barton into a starting eleven in a 3:5:2 side with candidates for 4 other places to be picked from : Isla, Traore, Yun, Simpson, Fer, Mutch, Faurlin, Hoilett, Phillips, and nominally SWP and Adel Taarabt who we will presumably replace as other players are touted as incoming.
Other than HOW do you fit him in, I wonder WHY? ....is Joey Barton headed for the bench with a salary of £75k a week and an extension to his contract.
Yesterday was a case in point, Joey heads the stats of chances created but he took every corner and free kick, his effort into the side netting; an attempt to beat a big keeper at the near post, was at the expense of a Faurlin left footed shot to the far post?
I think Barton slows our game down, yes, he wins ball, covers acres of ground, he also hangs the ball in the air for lengthy periods of time, he loses possession, he takes his time, loses momentum and passes sideways. We have a richness of can-do players who do move off the ball, Austin works his socks off, and shows for 90 minutes, he invariably has to peel off and go again, why because Barton is not using Austin as the pivot. We saw the difference Phillips and Hoillet made.
Bartons great stats are at the cost of our game in the bigger picture, I wonder where he fits in at this level in the long term? |

There's a long list of stuff that's changed during the season, I wonder when this Dude arrived, and what prompted Phillip Beard to get him in?
The Times writes of him “Steve Black is acknowledged as the best conditioning coach in the world”. Kevin Keegan called him ‘the best one-to-one coach in the world’. Jonny Wilkinson lays much of the credit for his unparalleled success at Steve’s door. Graham Henry, the All Blacks coach, calls him “the best motivator I’ve ever encountered”. Steve describes himself as a chameleon - someone who is able to evolve to suit the needs of the persons he is coaching at each individual circumstance.
Steve has won championships and cups in football and rugby at the highest levels. He has coached at international level with Wales and the British & Irish Lions. We may or may not owe a debt to this Man, I suspect our natural manners were spoilt by Wright,Ecclestone, Briatore, Hughes, Kia, Riggs et al!
For me Harry is a last remaining figment of the amateur in a professional financial game.
Last night was a result that QPR deserved, we've worked against all sorts of problems, let's leave Harry to get on with it, a little grace, to an old man, in pain and doing his best.....Harry and his players need some grace, they have done well! Lets join in and drive it over the line! Queens Park Rangers!

So one of two things we can be sure of, Promotion or Championship.
That for me leaves so much un-answered, I've asked the question for the Forum tonight; what would Tony Fernandes do differently to reduce the wage bill and reduce the average age of the squad?
It struck me that it's hard to see, as yet, what lessons have been learnt by the owners and directors of the club . Time will tell.
Does a clue lie in the fact that Harry Redknapp admits he knows nothing of Remy's contract, and that Remy deals/talks directly with TF who Harry says Loic " trusts "
Are there other players who can by-pass Harry, how involved is Harry given that he rarely attends training sessions, he's staking a claim for Ravel today having said he didn't know who he'd be looking at because we don't know which league we are going to be in. Gold and Ravel say there is no problem about Ravel returning to WHU, Allardyce says nowt.
This confusion in the lines of communication would cause problems in a Small Post Office, let alone a multi, multi million pound loss making football club. Not sure what to make of it, but I'd say when we know which League we are in and the changes do come, it might get messy and nasty. Ha! Just saying! Any thoughts? |

As Newcastle start negotiations with Remy to make his loan permanent are they just putting the price up for the big Clubs or just testing Tony Fernandes's long term commitment to keeping our best players?
I can't imagine we'll be looking to sell Remy until we know which division we are going to play in and even then we'd wait until fully crazed summer transfer window opens.
For me Remy is a very special striker, I would love to see him in the Hoops again in the Premiership, I hope we hang on, either to keep him or get the big money he's truely worth. We should be looking to treble our money, if not more, so there's enough in the deal to let him go but get some good young players in. |

So say's Harry Redknapp after 90 minutes...Does Harry's morose facial expression and his swift judgement of how well he's doing indicate that he doesn't feel wanted, supported, or is not getting the respect he deserves?
Good things, we've taken the ball off Barton for Dead Balls and have been practising during training, Traore has been coached in the art of attacking a full back with Kevin Bond, we've scored three goals without Charlie Austin, but to say that signing Doyle is a gamble that's paid off, I'd wait another week or two, but it's very encouraging Harry, not a proven success as yet.

Just to keep the focus on Harry Redknapp's modus operandi, OGS watched Cardiff on Saturday and had in the stands with him two Ex-Man Utd development players who had been at Molde with him.
One has signed subject to a medical, the lad is 23 years old, the other is 18 years Old and will be completing later in the week.
OGS says the foundations are right at Cardiff but nevertheless he has incoming players within 48 hours. Three other players are being targeted, all are young as OGS wants to 'work' with young enthusiastic players. His striker from Molde is now at Hannover is also a target.
Cardiff play in the same under 21 Development group as QPR, but clearly as OGS has worked with, coached and managed both these players he knows their value. Cardiff will pay £2 million for Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Mats Moller Daehli will be, perhaps, a little less.
He feel's that he ought to bring in new blood.
Loan players could be Wilfred Zaha and the young Williams at Crystal Palace.
It strikes me OGS would be the type of Coach that QPR need to bring in the new era, combining Warren Farm in two to three years and New Queens Park Stadium in 2018/2019.
When will that change happen? When Harry's contract ends at the end of next season 2014/2015? Would it matter which League we where in...PS QPR instructed two teams of solicitors and project management to progress the stadium this week!
Exciting times balanced by watching Karl Henry play his unique style of football. All in the week that The Black Pearl Eusbio lost his boots. Good, Bad, Sad! |

Gets 90 mins at Wimbledon in the EDS, so, no Red Card but settles for a Yellow.
Not sure Harry can risk Samba, but reports of surging midfield runs spark the memory of Samba on the gallop.
Anybody watch this game to give a report of this lunatic but brilliant footballer? |

Still in contract until June, but the quote shows the spirit and ethos of the man. Normally very hard to make somebody play for a Club if he wants away, but Ryan Nelsen is not the norm, let hope's he get's his ideal scenario.....Great Person and a superb example...... |
