Right then, now that the politics is all done and dusted, what do we think the England team will be today? Talk of Southgate going to a 3-5-2 seems ambitious for him, I’m guessing anything for the media to shoe in TTA. Would love to see Palmer starting but get the feeling it will be almost the same players as the previous games with a new formation. |

So what lawyers and accountants do you reckon Saints should go in for this summer. One with a catchy nickname would be good. Maybe get in a couple of young upcoming accounts from Chelsea who know how to work the loopholes. |

Anyone up for the cup on Sunday? I’m looking forward to it. Huge shame that Ballard is injured, was looking forward to seeing how he got on. Should be a good game. |

Anyone on here go last night? Cracking game, 0-3 down after half an hour, Barnet absolutely dominating them and looking like a decent team, pull a goal back before half time, end to end second half, the Eastleigh goalie made some great saves and the game ended up 3-3 with an equaliser in the 97th minute. |
| Forum Thread | Che Everton Adams at 14:52 28 Jul 2023
Is Everton bound, according to rumours doing the rounds. He’s not very good is he, according to most on here anyway. But is he an upgrade on the woeful Maupay? |
| Forum Thread | Dom Ballard at 06:40 19 Jun 2023
Saw over the weekend reports linking Everton with Ballard, Everton have just employed Dan Rice some fella who I’ve never heard of and I’m sure most of you haven’t, taking over from some fella at Everton that I’d also never heard of, but the papers will tie up with various transfer links. I assume that this is a no goer and that Saints have for him tied up to a long contract. |

Well it looks like we will be playing each other there next season. Both teams deserve to be where they are. Everton have been appallingly badly run from top to bottom, but this year has seen them plunge to new depths. Only relegation will prompt the overhaul the club desperately needs, getting rid of the board and the dross mascerading as professional footballers. Now, a Friday night Everton v Saints game at Goodison would be good. A few beers in town before the game, then onto County Road for Friday night disco dancing after the game. What’s not to like. |
| Forum Thread | Beckham v JWP at 18:34 16 Mar 2023
BBC online are showing all of Beckham’s free kicks, comparing them to Ward Prowse. IMHO Ward Prowse’s are better. Certainly a lot further out than Beckham’s and the walls and goalies aren’t as well set up as they are now. |

For any Saints fans travelling up, grab yourself a dodgy pie, take your seat behind one of the pillars and sit back and watch one of the most toxic games ever seen at Goodison. If Saints get an early goal, I can see there being carnage in the stands. The open letter and subsequent interview on TalkSport from Mad Mosh has only increased the vent. Sadly it’s the first Everton Saints game I’m going to miss for 30 odd years as I’ve got a mates 50th birthday weekend in rural Hampshire. |

Two good sides, I thought the best team won, particularly based on the first half. Anyway, I’m off to the pub, have a good evening |

Tickets went on sale for the Ageas Bowl at 9am this morning. Sold out already. Managed to get a few for the Emirates on the Saturday though. |

Anyone going this weekend? I’ve got a ticket for Sunday, looking forward to seeing Sam Fender, although I probably won’t get there in time to see The Libertines. |
| Forum Thread | James Garner at 11:36 18 Aug 2022
Heard Saints are after him and could get him in the next few days. Wouldn’t mind him at Everton, he completely turned Forest around last season when he joined them. Only 21, would be a great buy IMO. |
| Forum Thread | Five Subs at 10:43 7 Aug 2022
How was it in the Saints game. Watching the Everton v Chelsea game it absolutely screamed of preservation of the top 5. It was very confusing. Everton had two injuries which somehow meant they were only able to use four of the subs. Chelsea managed to use all five, wasting stupid amounts of time in the process whilst bringing on about 250 million pounds worth of players. We need the creators of the new rule, Pep and Klopp, to come out and explain what it is. Either way, it’s just anothe nail into the game we once knew. |
| Forum Thread | Eastleigh v Saints at 09:11 26 Jul 2022
Anyone going? I’m going with my mate and his son, completely unchallenged obviously. Looking forward to being back in a football stadium without everyone being on the verge of a nervous breakdown, I must admit. Assume Saints will be playing the reserves/academy players? |
| Forum Thread | Saturday Afternoon Drinking in Town at 12:01 1 Jul 2022
I’ve not been in town on a Saturday (Everton Saints defeat aside) since Covid. Got some mates coming down this evening, cricket tonight, but weighing up either going around here (Hamble) or into town. Town was quite dead pre Covid on non match days, has it improved any since? |

Is being linked with a move to Everton. He looked great earlier in the season but then tailed off didn’t he? |
| Forum Thread | Southampton City of Culture at 07:08 31 May 2022
It’s announced today if they are successful or not. Obviously it would be great for the city if they won, but can’t help but hope that any funding they possibly receive for it isn’t given to the city council who couldn’t organise a piss up in the brewery. Anyway, it’s announced on the One Show later, so may have Jenas involved as a heads up. |
