| News Comment | Resolutions and revolution as QPR embark on 2013 — full match preview at 13:38:17
Great stuff Cliveo. Re-Marketing & Communications....I dont know whats going on there. Under the previous regimes, it was one of the world's worst jobs. Yet they kept their heads down and did a reasonable job. I'm not sure if TF's passion for social media is a factor, but the MarComms team have seemingly forgotten what PR is all about. The basics that include the website, social media platforms and fan engagement have all gone to ratshit recently. Examples being the #AskCisse disaster, Hater-gate, first and fastest via personal Twitter accounts and all this "we might have lost, but we won a prize for our 3D programme" malarky. Its well documented that none of them are actually QPR fans, so like the players, its just a job to them. Time for them to keep their heads down and get on with doing their job properly. ATAF |
| News Comment | QPR’s summer of optimism blown apart for super soaraway Swans — full match report at 10:52:12
Just to add a touch more doom & gloom, a couple of observations from W-block yesterday- Onuoha was way from match fit. Huffing, puffing and sweating like a glassblowers arsehole. Secondly, when Cisse was subbed, Adel's head dropped and he shook his head, as if it say .."WTF?". Not a good day at the office, and in hindsight some very poor decisions from the management. |
| News Comment | Our captain, the ‘gobby Scouse git’ — guest column at 08:37:49
Good article Mel. Would be good to see you writing on here more often. With regards to the content, afraid I disagree with most of it. Barton's only with us because of his own, and our, desperation during the August transfer window. After a couple of decent performances early on (no doubt linked to having Faurlin alongside him), he was shocking during the winter months. Yes, he covered big distances, but usually chasing his own mis-placed passes. What topped it off for me was his "ah well, no-one died" comment following one of our capitulations in the New Year (cant remember which game). It underlined the mercenary in him and his lack of passion for our club. I do agree that he'd looked to have turned things around following the Liverpool game, but then a leopard never changes his spots, and the scenes at the Etihad were a disgrace. My eldest is 6 this summer and starting to take an interest in the game. He plays on a Saturday morning wearing the red/white 3rd kit that Barton wore against City. I dont want him watching the club captain of our team elbowing, punching, butting and kicking anyone, especially not with that vile, evil look he had when he kicked Aguero. Sorry mate, he was a rash buy (that cost Warnock his job) and he should never be captain and possibly never play for us again. If he does get a 10-12 game ban, what use to us is he anyway? Out for a 1/4 of the season before you know it. |
| News Comment | This Week - Hunting for Ferdinands on mean streets of Harrow at 09:30:25
"For a player like Beckford to go all the way up to Leeds from one of our local non-league clubs for a measly £45,000 while we were lashing out more on that in agents fees to bring in the likes of Marc Nygaard, Sammy Youssouff and Adam Czerkas in his position is a disgrace which our club has never really been grilled over in any great depth.".....says it all really. Great article Cliveo and a really interesting read. Lets hope that if NW see's something he likes, the lad can get his chance. Sounds a great prospect. |
