At the start, under Ronald Koeman, there was no problem because of his presence. He brings a big aura with him because of who he is and where he’s been. The first thing you learn from him is never, but never, be late for team meals. It was well documented that he kept Sadio (Mane) out of a big game once and everybody was wondering why and it was simply because Sadio had been late for a meeting. That was him. But different managers come in and they didn’t have that power of personality. (Jose) Fonte ran the club at that time — that’s not in a negative way but a positive way — and I learned a lot from him. But by the time he left and the managers were changing we were **** and the only person who really got it was Mark Hughes.
He took me to one side one day and said: ‘What’s the matter with this lot?’ And I told him: ‘They’ve got no bollocks.’ ‘Scuse my French. And he wound me up to go into a team meeting and basically dig them all out.
I had to pull Ryan (Bertrand), who was a mate of mine, to one side and say ‘Look, I’m going to go in there and give them all a right volley and I’m afraid I’m going to make you first or else they’ll think I’m just looking after my mates.’ Ryan went along with it. We got the results after that — not great results but enough to keep us up.
Someone on my Facebook Feed is filming the driver going at 160mph, and then tagging it with fire & flexing arm emojis.
Doesn't sit comfortable with me but is it my business to do anything about it. Would I be accused of having too much time on my hands, or is it the right thing to do?
If you see someone filming their partner driving at 160mph.. would you
Not Irish but like most neutrals have a soft spot for them. Interesting behind-the-scenes story of how Roy Keane's winning personality wins over two of the players (spoiler alert, it doesn't)
Props to Ward who's telling the story, he should narrate radio dramas on Radio 4 , I was well engrossed!
"It did not stop problem gamblers even after they had asked to be banned from its websites, the watchdog said."
"He added that Sky Bet had tried to return the money that was gambled."
WTF does that 2nd statement even mean? They tried, how noble. As for the first statement, a fine's not going to stop them, surely a license suspension that.
Have a couple of mates who used to be part of them, but they've moved out of London and I can't recall many posts about them on these boards in recent weeks / months...
I'm 99% sure I was missold it, but the hundreds of corny-ass ambulance-chaser type companies out there is really off-putting. Does a company with decent values in this industry exist, or are they all slimy.
Anyone else experience this? Android, Chrome browser. Click into a post, a third of the screen (vertical) is a really dark blue, the text impossible to read. This a settings issue?
First off, we all know the good and the bad of betting so let's side step that conversation.
That 5000/1 Leicester fan has finally cashed out. Just before the Norwich game, he won £70-odd thousand. Post Norwich, it was £90-odd thousand. But you can't blame him, every extra match must be a sleepless night 'should I shouldn't I!'
I've got a sizeable amount (for me anyway) on Dele Alli for PFA Young player of the year. He was pretty short a couple of months ago (1/2), he's now 1/4. Unless Kane starts scoring hattricks I'm going to hold my nerve..
Anyone got one? I've just started researching for a new motor. By coincidence, both the Nissan ones - Qashqai and Juke - get the vote from both the wifey and I. Anyone want to praise insult these, and / or suggest others?
