Just finished watching “The Recruit” on Netflix, which I thought was very good.
Also for those who enjoy Korean series, “Taxi Driver” about a victim support agency with a difference. |

Two conclusions from watching yesterday’s game from R block.
1) Portsmouth are a bottom three team. QPR are a bottom team.
2) Having an ST and going to all the home games at the moment has become a profoundly depressing experience.
It actually comes as something of a relief that I’ve got cataract surgery on Tuesday which is going to prevent me going to the Coventry game! [Post edited 20 Oct 6:39]

Yep, thought Banshee was really good when I watched it a few years ago.
Also very good is a Korean cop drama from 2016 called Signal on Netflix. It has elements of Life on Mars and Waking the Dead but isn’t a straight copy of either. [Post edited 10 Oct 7:01]

Ruud Krol, Arie Haan, Wim Van Hanegem. Cruyff, Rep, Neeskens, Jongbloed and Rensenbrink already named and I can’t remember the other three. Johnny Rep always sounded like a character out of a Western movie.
It always struck me as ironic that the two goals against at Wembley were scored by a guy called Peters because Alf Ramsey always said that Martin Peters was ten years ahead of his time. |

Absolutely this. It’s a team which should be able to give us a chance to actually compete in games again.
If he continues picking anything like yesterday’s team after the international break and the losing streak continues then his stubbornness will bring our downfall. I really hope he doesn’t and there were signs at the end of last year that he is prepared to be pragmatic when the situation demands it . |

I’m sure that there will be people along to tell us that we burned through all of our extremely limited transfer budget in the summer and there won’t be anything in the kitty left to finance the strengthening we so badly need if we’re going to survive. |
