I was comparing Celar’s playing history to Frey’s, but gave up when I discovered that Frey use to play for Young Boys who play at the ‘W@nkdorf’ stadium, hahah |

I would like to remind people that at present, we are struggling with the basics. Switching to a false 9 will require our players to do things they can’t.
What we need is support for Celar in and around the box. He can’t play as lone striker. [Post edited 25 Oct 20:16]

I'm feeling pleased with last nights result and performance.
It looked like Marti went with how we ended the game against Pompey. BBC had us down as a 5-4-1 but I think it was essentially a 3-1-3-2-1 with a bit more emphasis on the wingbacks defending? I'm guessing Morgan is a box-to-box type midfielder? Already in the 62ish minutes he's played he's looked useful.
I think the Smyth/Saito combo worked well. We look far more dangerous having wide players who can and will run at defenders.
Andersen looked much improved and made a number of good forward passes. Despite his drop in form I still like how we plays and what he tries to do. He's the right Dane to have in our side.
I feel for Celar, he does look like he struggles and at our level I think it's wishful thinking we can get a better striker - his skill/ability is relative to that of the team, which in practical terms means he needs more opportunities to score. Personally, I think Frey is better suited and looks more up for it.
Still a long way to go, but at least we didn't lose. |

Got to pull you up on one thing - Nothing weird about bringing on Morgan. His playing qualities, stature and innate hunger to reach the highest possible levels of his game make him an excellent fit for the technical game model being implemented at a club-wide level.
So yeah, when you're 2-1 down to Pompey, you bring on Morgan. |

I think we'll win 2-0 and Madsen will score the opening goal.
In future when people say 'stranger things have happened' they'll be referring to this.
At this point you may as well be optimistic, we'll eventually win a home game. |

Everyone criticising Madsen is wrong.You don’t understand what you’re seeing and probably don’t understand football. Our cultured, languid, Dane is completely wasted on you footballing Neanderthals. He’s composed and has a great silky first touch. If you’ve missed it then you’ve not been paying attention. Your simple minds can only comprehend prehistoric, 4-4-2, long ball, lots of tackles and PASHUN! There is no middle ground. It’s either Madsen or you’re uneducated scum. You can’t have nice things, the tooth fairy doesn’t exist, Christmas is cancelled!!!! |

Summer 2023 went up with the family. We got the Caledonian Sleeper to Inverness where we picked up a camper-van. We followed the North Coast 500 with a few detours. It was one of the best holidays I’ve had. Highly recommend it!
