"Rubbish game, 2 low level performances from both teams". All well and good if it ends 0-0. When its that type of game and you still lose 2-0 well its a bit shit Jim.
Dont be baffled. The moans are when we play dumb football. Every fan wants us to have possession of the football - when we play with purpose and intelligence. The keeper playing the ball to a player facing our own goal with 2 opposition players ontop of him so he loses it and we concede is dumb. Playing the ball across our own 18 yard box to an opposition player and we concede is dumb. We can still score goals with 20,30 passes involved without playing dumb football.
Thank god for Rodney. Keep him fit and we are guaranteed play offs. Too patient a build up today - we really dont trouble opposition keepers enough despite having the majority of the ball in the 2nd half today. Rodney's shot was the keepers first save to make all half and in the 93rd minute thats just not good enough.
Burton train at St George's Park - thats a massive incentive for any coach/manager to want to join them. I really cant see Burton wanting to pay any sort of compensation to get Jim though.
He was very influential in those 2 play off games. Scored that worldie for Darlo in the first leg, got fouled(ahem) for Darlo's 'penalty', deflected Perkins equaliser into the goal and missed his own penalty in the shoot out.
Don't know if this has been mentioned on here? David Perkins on the coaching staff at Exeter. Noticed him on TV the other Friday night on the live Sky game.
Yeah didn't like Jim's after match comment ' they made 1 mistake for our goal and we made 1 mistake for theirs'. The first goal is so important especially when you are the away team. To gift them that first goal so early without them having to do much is so demoralising, especially for all the fans who've travelled so far.
I managed to get mine Friday. A few glitches like I was already logged in but it kept asking me for my login details. I eventually ignored it and put in my season card barcode and it managed to go through ok. And it showed up straight away in the season ticket app.
100% effort from all the players, great defending and a little bit of luck! I think we all held our breaths at the end when the keeper won that header!
The demoralising thing about last Saturday was we should've been buzzing after the Fylde win yet we put in a performance like that - with Allarakhia having our only 2 shots on target! At home that is totally unacceptable.
