Defensive duo continue QPR's brisk summer - Signing
at 22:08:01

Thank you. To Clive's point, I like what I've seen of Conor but it doesn't seem like Warbz feels the same way (yet).

Nice write up, Clive.

Tend to agree on the Kelly comments - I felt Joe would have done better with their first goal.

If we can tighten up at the back this team could do something...

Hoos talks Warren Farm, FFP, Loftus Road — Interview

@Noelmc - ruben gnanalingam co-owns LAFC. I'm based in southern california and from what I can tell the club has launched really well, match day attendances, atmosphere, etc. When I saw that comment in the interview I assumed Ruben facilitated a trip out there.

Brentford adjusting to life after Smith - Interview

This guy cracks me up. Plenty of the usual digs weaved in to it. A lot is wishful thinking, the recipe has certainly worked so far but I think they are losing a bit of steam this season.

West Brom wallop seven through hapless QPR - Report
at 05:55:43

Spot on. Top write up.

The part that hurts me the most is the clouding of this strategy we seemed to be developing nicely (and I thought Holloway was doing quite well at). All of a sudden players like Smyth, Manning, Ingram, etc. who most supporters could see the development and progression of and how that fit in to the whole, the wider strategy, are being loaned out or asked to fulfill roles we all know they simply can't. It's infuriating to observe, it's like all the hardwork is down the drain, the strategy never was, Ollie's progress is being scratched, why have a DoF to ensure consistency?!, why have anything at all?! Why not keep playing the manager lottery.

I know I'm not alone in my admiration for Ollie but I may be in being a supporter who gets satisfaction from being hard to beat, hard-working, stubborn, cohesive and full of energy. I loved those qualities of Ollie's team. McClaren talks of having an identity, playing a style, it all sounds to soft to me and I don't really care for it.

Enjoyed reading that, Clive. You summed up the way I have been feeling about the IH departure and the forthcoming season perfectly. In fact, the England exit was worse for me as it hastened the the process of turning my attention to QPR, where things stand and the season ahead. I have to say I think we will get a rude awakening come 4 Aug too. I’m not normally a pessimist, I thought IH would get us to where we needed to be before last season began but I have a strange, uneasy feeling about this season. Obviously, I would love to be proved wrong.

Holloway's army finally clicks at Reading's expense - Report

Nice write up, mate

I also thought that chance on the stroke of half time signaled a backs to the wall second half but in many respects we were fearless - maybe the players are beginning to "believe in the process". Reminded me of the way we played away under Warnock. Ollie is slowly restoring some pride and identity.

Nice write up Northern, I watched the replay and you capture it perfectly.

Completely agree with the Stan Bowles point as well, some of the supporters have unrealistic expectations - in a commercial property it's not just a case of making the room available you have licencing laws, security, bar staff, etc. also if those supporters don't have the budget right and the night makes a loss how does that reflect on the club. Ultimately there is an inherent limitation in what the club can do and from all accounts the absolutely nailed the SB day events and plans.
