Scourge of the modern game. You get it now even when they ask for a minutes bloody silence. |

That c*nt Luis just got what was coming to him. Typical nasty sneaky little unnecessary foul on Kane and Spurs score from the free kick 👠|
| Forum Thread | Beat West Ham and I reckon we will stay up at 15:56 12 Apr 2015
Given the way we are playing now, the way some of our rivals are playing (Sunderland and Hull) and the way the fixtures line up from here on in I reckon we'll stay up if we do the Hammers. |

For a plane going missing? The minutes applause - scourge of the modern game. |

He's had a lot of stick from Rangers fans for supposedly having it in for us so worth noting that he was one of the few commentators that gave us credit (on the football league show highlights). Said for all Derby's play they didn't actually create a lot at all, and nothing that you wouldn't have expected Green to save, that we defended brilliantly, and that when our chance came Bobby's finish was class. I think think he's been pretty decent and balanced about us all season. Fair play. The commentators on the FL show also thought we were the more accomplished side first half. Maybe not most threatening but that we looked the more composed. I think it could have been a different game had we had 11 on the pitch. As it was we fought a classic rearguard action and when our chance came, we took it. |
| Forum Thread | Reality check at 13:54 19 Aug 2013
I've noticed there is currently a lot of criticism on this board in particular about Harry's penchant for signing older players (Konchesky being the latest). While I understand the view that we should be taking a more long term approach and building a team of young hungry players for the future I think many of you are missing the bloody great elephant in the room that is that we are in a f*ckload of debt and TF has clearly told Redknapp to do what is necessary (within an appropriate budget) to get us promoted this season, I think it's probably essential for the long term wellbeing of the club that we get up, if not this season, then the next. After that I think things are going to start looking somewhat stretched on the budget side of things.... When/if we get promoted, we can then start focusing on building the club for the future, no doubt with a new manager in charge within a few years (getting Harry in was obviously a fairly short term approach to either save us from relegation or get us promoted were we to go down). Some will say that in signing older players we're simply compounding the errors of last season to which i would say two things: - The type of player we are signing, regardless of age, are very different in attitude to those we have been signing over the last couple of years. - While it would be great to introduce a complete change in transfer policy overnight (developing players, long term approach) it's just not that simple for the reasons above. So those of you that think we should be focusing on youth at the expense of short term success, i think a reality check is in order. The likes of Dunne, O'Neil and Konchesky may not get the pulse racing (although O'Neil looked pretty exciting to me on Saturday), but if we want to get out of this league in the next couple of years we're going to need that kind of solidity and experience, just as Warnock did with Derry and Hill. So how's about we all stop griping and get a bit of unity going, it's a long bloody season and the team will need all the support they can get. |
| Forum Thread | Not bothered we're down at 16:55 28 Apr 2013
To be honest I wasnt expecting promotion when it came so I'm not too gutted at being back in the championship next season. And looking forward to seeing what Rednapp can do to rebuild the squad so that we're in a better position if we do get promoted back up in the next year or two. The only thing I was really looking forward to in the prem was the opportunity to get one over those scum from the bridge. We f*cked them up last season, exposed Terry as the racist bullying c*nt everyone suspected he was, and took 4 points off them this season. Job done. Bring on next season, after we've hopefully had a good f*ckin clear out. You Rs. |
| Forum Thread | Yesterday's result felt similar to the defeat at Bolton last season at 13:19 17 Mar 2013
Same sense of injustice and the feeling that it was probably all over and Bolton were on their way to safety. Would be nice if it turned out the same again. Anyway, I'm going to try to forget about it all for a couple of weeks. Then if Villa lose to Liverpool the day before we play Fulham then we've got a chance to get back in touch. I'd give us about a 10% chance of staying up now, but there is still a chance. |

Dirty Chelsea c*nt. Should have been a straight red. How many do they get away with. |
| Forum Thread | The results today put ours into perspective at 18:03 27 Jan 2013
Strong premier league sides done over by lower league opposition, and we put out a far more weakened side than Chelsea, Spurs or Liverpool. Sh*t happens. We certainly need to sign two centre backs but let's not get carried away, big games coming up. We need to get up for Tuesday night and try and make it an intimidating atmosphere. |
| Forum Thread | Hughes' obsession with stats at 13:11 6 Nov 2012
Just idle speculation but i wonder whether Hughes' obsession with ProZone and stats could be clouding his judgement when it comes to selecting players and tactics. I read a piece the other day about just how much stock he puts in stats, having microchips sewn into players' shirts to track their movement in games etc. I just wonder whether he's putting too much faith in this at the expense of good old fashioned man-management and trusting your own instincts... |
