He's started, I think, one game and was MoM (one of the pre-Euros friendlies). Spent the Euros coming off the bench to varying degrees of success but his longest period on the pitch saw him play about 30 mins at left wing back. The rest of the time was spent quite rigidly on the left of midfield |

Couldn't agree with this more. He's obviously into his psychology and wanted to breed that underdog spirit but on arrival he immediately went too far and it's got worse since.
Sure, play that card when we're lining up against Leicester and Southampton but we are - in name at least - a Championship club - with a mix of experienced players and some decent younger players. Unfortunately, I think if you continue to tell players that they're out of their depth and that determination and graft is their only route to success. But half of this team were at the top of this league 12 months ago and with all due respect we could all probably have told him they aren't the dogs of war type. |

Not to disagree with any of the sentiment here but a reminder that the Loftus Road faithful decried 'Warbsball' because it involved too much 'sideways' passing and not enough either direct football or free-flowing attacking passing (because Luke Amos and Sam Field are not Xavi and Iniesta). And also because we were stuck around 10th in the league year after year.
As an aside I am always surprised that we see ourselves as having a culture of attractive football. Maybe in the 70s but nowadays the crowd groans when we play out from the back. |

Also noticed this. It happened immediately after a ball across the six yard area that three of our players were unable to get to. The last of the three arriving just too late was Willock.
Could be completely wrong but took it to be that the two veteran strikers were explaining to Willock that he could/should be getting more into the sorts of positions and gambling at the back post to score goals. |
