I know he’s highly regarded by the club but he was awful again tonight but I’m not sure what his role is in the team, does he? Is he an attacking wide midfielder or a central one, is his job to sit a little deeper to cover, does anyone know? What did the manager tell him his role was, perhaps he didn’t listen, perhaps he wasn’t told who knows. |

That must be the worst no.9 performance I’ve ever seen. No wonder he hardly ever touches the ball as his movement is non existent. I’ve never seen such a static centre forward, it was shocking. He makes it impossible for a team mate to find him in fact he makes almost every ball into the box look really bad, how can they find him when he’s stood still constantly, he was/is awful [Post edited 28 Aug 21:59]

Well done to Kyrell who’s currently the league’s top scorer in the under 21’s with 15 goals. The squad are having a really good season and are competing to get into the playoffs with just a few games to go and would be good to see one or two get a twenty minute run out with the first team before the season ends. |

Just read the Brighton managers press conf. before their European game tonight and he said the club need to retain its DNA. It’s got them into the premier league and Europe so they’d be mad to change so how does this compare to us when the manager says last season was ‘excessive’ and that the games moved on from the’Swansea Way’ and says he’s trying to bring in a different way of playing that currently is, it appears, nowhere near what has brought us success. I want to see the ball on the grass moved through the thirds with technically proficient players not played down the channel as we saw the other night for Cullen to chase after to have a push and shove contest with a big defender. We’re in serious danger of becoming just like most of the other teams outside of the premier league. Then again perhaps I’m missing something and the manager is getting it right. |

I know it’s not football but am i the only one getting totally f….. off seeing ‘bloody celebs being pictured at every important sporting event. Wimbledon is full of them, racing, football, F1, etc, most of them haven’t a clue what’s going on and it makes it worse when I think about the amount of hours I’ve spent queuing to attend many of these, it does my head in. My wife’s told me again to chill so I’m off to sit in my garden

After reading some comments on here about how rubbish we are around transfer time it might be worth watching Deadline Day on Sky. It just highlights the complexities involved in getting players both in and out of clubs. |

Newbie here so go gentle yea! I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned Johansen’s elbow into the face of Grimes right in front of the ref. I hate to see people diving but Matt stayed on his feet when I think he should have gone down, check it out at around 17.40. I thought QPR were poor considering their league position and didn’t seem to have much structure or patten to their game so they couldn’t build any momentum and that’s because we had the technical and tactical ability to take the sting out of their game. They got more frustrated by our ability to do that so they got a bit feisty and it great to see we didn’t back down and handled it well apart from the last few minutes. Just need that final third to be sorted now and a couple of new additions and we’ll have a good team. By the way I though Grimes was outstanding. |
