| Forum Thread | Ticket website versus office at 16:35 3 Oct 2024
I tried to buy 2 tickets for Stoke via the website, tried 3 times, third time it took my money but said the transaction had times out and I needed to start again....irritating. I phoned the ticket office and spoke to a very nice lady who had a look, could see the money had been taken and said she'd email the tickets straight out and less than 30 seconds after hanging up, there they were. Technology can be a pain in the harris but speak to the right person and et voila. Thank you madam. |

...or not. Right, my intention is to watch Sundays game here, at home. My son wants to go so I told him, you can go. he contacted a mate and then asked me if I'd buy the tickets. I went on the site and tried to buy 2 under 18 tickets but it refused me saying U16's cannot go in the ground without adult supervision. They're both 16 plus but under 18. If I'd bought two paper tickets in the week they'd have got in ok, I know that happens from speaking to others. So what is the rule, is it under 18 or under 16, if they're 16 and older why can't I get tickets? As it stands now they aren't going. |
| Forum Thread | Coventry - a minutes applause at 16:17 15 Sep 2024
Hi everyone, if you're making the trip to Coventry next Saturday then in the 17th minute please join in with the home fans for a minutes applause. A young fan who "lived for CCFC" (that being Coventry obviously) has passed away and they had his funeral last Thursday. His name was Tyler Hollyoake and he was only 17, some family members will be there apparently and they would really appreciate it if we'd make the effort. So remember, 17th minute, a minutes applause for Tyler. Thanks in advance evryone. |

No it's not about Labours first budget though we all (ok most of us) think taxes will rise somewhere. No, this is an EU thread, sorry! It's been said that they need more money, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gq1e7k2j8o And we all know where that money comes from, the members will have to stump up around 25-29 billion more each every year if Draghi gets what he wants. Now growth is down and the situation is described as challenging, finances are stretched across the EU membership and Draghi says the EU needs more money. https://economy-finance.ec.europa.eu/economic-forecast-and-surveys/economic-fore There's stil a war on the continent, there been mass protests about a range of things including immigration and it seems to me that remaining in the EU may really not have meant living the dream, more an expensive albatross who continues to grow and weigh down economies. We'll see in the long term if the EU grows and prospers and of course what happens with us but I think its a simple sad fact that politicians across the globe re ruining the world for us ordinary folk. |

To top off an awful day yesterday Cardiff picked up some injuries. It's possible that Ralls and Ramsey are out next Sunday and O'Dowda and Chambers were withdrawn as a precaution too. To round it off McGuiness was left out with rumours of him being sold. Their keeper looks a bit dodgy as well. Should we be confident or should we be nervous of a reaction to all of that on top of a 5-0 thrashing? |
| Forum Thread | What are you hoping for tomorrow at 17:57 16 Aug 2024
Wil you take a win no matter what, 3 points is welcome even if the game is awful OR, do you want a good performance because if we keep putting in good performances the results will come? Or are you a greedy sod, like me, who wants a good performance and 3 points! When it comes down to it, I want to be entertained. It has been the lack of entertainment that has vexed me so much and seen my apathy levels top out. [Post edited 16 Aug 18:42]

| Forum Thread | Mortgage rates at 16:04 11 Aug 2024
When we moved we took out a longer term fixed rate but for a bit of extra borrowing we took a 5 year fix which is up in 2 months. I was just looking at available deals and I'm grateful that rates came down recently. The SVR is 8.49% apparently, we were paying 2.69%.it's a hefty jump that. The question is did I make the right move because interest rates have dropped and may do so again but there was a 10 year fixed rate available that saw our repayments rise by just 24 quid so I took it. The SVR would have seen an ver 80 quid rise. It's hard to know what todo withthis new government, will they be good for the economy and see rates continue to drop or will things turn rough again? |

They are making a fuss, demanding more moeny form the Senedd and one of them, a Soprano, is on Welsh politics this morning saying Westminster should agree an emergency funding package to safeguard jobs, seriously...WTF? They can't safeguard TATA jobs, they can't safeguard the NHS, schools, police or social care and rhe Opera demand more money from government. I say they can go forth and multiply. There are far more important things than jobs for a few hundred people that only a few thousand go to watch. |
