High Line Could Be Trouble For Saints

Press high, win the ball near to their goal and don't give them time.

Played 2 won 2 - that's why changing would be strange.

I guess it would be a nice feather in our cap to prove we could park the bus, hit them on the counter and beat them that way, but asking the players to do something completely different is asking for trouble. You seem to be struggling with this, so will have to agree to disagree.

At least you have a nice "I told you so" on stand by for your verdict if we lose, so happy days.

I was talking about our finishing in the last two games - don't try and put words in my mouth.

Our style seems to suit playing Liverpool very well, so think we should keep doing the same.

If we were playing Chelsea then a tweak might be in order as they have outplayed us, though as that isn't the case against Liverpool, I find calls for a change to be a bit strange.

Our finishing let us down in those games, not our tactics.

Of course there are no guarantees that we will win on Saturday, though I would much rather we played a style that Liverpool haven't been able to cope with.

Why should we gamble with something we aren't familiar with when we are playing a team we have beaten the last 2 times with these tactics?

Well done. Someone else thinks we should change a winning tactic - it must be the way.

Liverpool were top of the league and hadn't been beaten until we last played them. Your comment doesn't really stack up.

You are saying drop deep - not I.

I'm saying play the same way that we always do as it has worked both times against them. This isn't a discussion about what might be best against Chelsea or other top 10 teams.

We are playing Liverpool and I'm asking for a reason we would change a winning formula against them. Please enlighten me.

Or proven to win against Liverpool even...

But I still don't understand why you want to change a tactic that is proven against to win Liverpool - please explain.

Chances of us changing the tactical approach for this game? Nil.

Why would we change the tactics that have seen us play Liverpool off the park both times it has been used and resulted in wins at home and away?

We only do well against them like this so lets change our approach. Good one!

Though your comment that when Man Utd change chief executives no one else takes note, but when we do it causes a big news event was completely shot down by Henry Winter. As he pointed out, ask any Man U fan and they will pinpoint David Gill moving on as having a hugely negative impact.
Pat Nevin didn't seem to be in agreement with most of what you said either.
The interview made me cringe to think that listeners might think that your views in any way represented the majority of Saints fans.
