Tis true Steven, gazza could take a leaf out of my book. Enjoyed your company Mel. Indeed a great crowd, 1700 is our average this season, Maidstone are the 14th best supported non league team in England and Wales.God only knows where we would have been had the stadium been built some 20 years ago instead of going on a nomadic tour of Kent. I have read somewhere that that piece of land could hold a capacity of 8000, how true that is i`m not sure as in effect it would be a 3 sided stadium with the river Medway running down one side. |

Watched the film "Impossible" the other day, the one about the 2004 boxing day tsunami. 8 YEARS AGO !.Seems like yesterday, it`s that sort of thing that makes me feel old. Sharpy(23) |

My opinion on Gazza is the same as it was for George best.George was given a second chance with a new liver and decided to carry on drinking.Although a football icon through out the world chose not to grasp the opportunity of life.My feelings towards Gazza will remain the same if he chooses to ignore this latest outpouring of love and help. |

You`re pretty much spot on there Konk. The only mistake Maidstone made in the whole Smalling saga, was not to get him to sign a contract. That was mainly down to the player himself wanting to play for England at school boy level. But what left a sour taste in many Maidstone fans mouth`s was it took a complete overhaul in the owners, and an investment of 2.5 million to put right what had taken 24 years to destroy. It`s a shame, but it is one of many reasons i find the premiership a little hard to stomach, when figures like 10 million etc are banded about. No i don`t, i know as much as i`m allowed to know, like all of us. What i do know is we had at the end of December Andy johnson (Out all season) Bobby zamora (injured, sidelined for a month) Robert hulse (never going to play) Jay bothroyd (never going to score you 10) Djbel cisse(going to be loaned out) Dj campbell(going to be sold) We ended up with Andy johnson (Out all season) Bobby zamora (Came back to early) Robert hulse (on loan) Jay bothroyd (Can`t even play infront of Mackie on a matchday) Djbel cisse(loaned out) Dj campbell(loaned out) Loic remy(Injured after 2 games) He knew like all of us we needed cover, his plan seemed to be Crouch. He phoned Pulis up the day before deadline day.We also went after odemwingi one week before deadline day. |
