I would say it is more likely to be down to poor senior management, there are lots of managers in the NHS. You would think that with many wards closed, operations postponed etc, that doctors could be redeployed to support A&E. In my experience A&E in the NHS has been a basket case & deteriorating for decades. There has to be some kind of strategy on decisions being taken to keep people waiting. In most other industries this problem would have been addressed to stay in business. However, whatever budgets are available senior management have decided not to address the A&E conundrum. This also applies to the ambulance service where year-on-year deterioration is regarded as normal ‘service’ |

Was up there last weekend when the person in charge announced over the PA system that waiting time to see a doctor was around 14 hours. There is no logical reason for waiting times to be so long in A&E. Understaffing has been an issue up there for years & it is clearly a strategy to work with minimum staff especially out of normal day hours or on a weekend. Yet when you eventually get through to a ward there seems to be lots of nurses sitting around drinking tea & chatting especially during normal work hours. |

Pathetic, maybe - it’s a 560 mile round journey, that’s at least 9-10hrs of travel. Unsurprisingly, we never take a big following up there either |

With all these public sector workers being more efficient & working all those additional hours, I am looking forward to our council tax going up by something less than the rate of inflation 🤣 |

THREE Swansea boys in the starting line up today, it could … should have been so different … at the end of the day what a dismal series of matches. No fans, poor rugby, negative tactics win the day. Rugby unions around the world really need to look at making the game more attractive â˜¹ï¸ |

Aside from his own ego, there is only one reason why he has taken the job, the same reason that he took the Chelsea & Newcastle jobs … £££££££ |

It's a fair question. The squad for me is exceeding expectations in terms of results. It is not pretty. Brendan had a better squad playing better football but we had to go up via the play-offs. I think we need to clinch an automatic promotion place. We all want to see pretty football but there is not a lot of it about in the Championship. Not sure how many watch Watford & Brentford every week but pretty football it is not |

Beaten by a better side over the 2 legs. We didn't take our chances in the home leg, they took theirs with the outstanding Ollie Wakins being the difference |

Well done to the lads for identifying a gap in the market & getting in to it. Good to see them putting Swansea on the map with local jobs too. I am sure there will be many watching to see how the brand grows Not exactly a rags to riches story, more like money goes to money. Perhaps they may venture in to music next they could call themselves Dr Organic & the sell-outs 😂 [Post edited 4 Feb 2021 11:37]

Cycling is now one of the most regulated sports on earth with respect to drug testing. While many people remain sceptical (rightly so as it took so long to clean itself up) the amount of testing & length of bans is a significant deterrent. Unlike football & rugby where bans are measured in weeks or matches whereas bans in cycling are generally measured in years |

You don’t have to wait it is on iPlayer. I watched it a couple of months back, fascinating documentary & insight into the world of cycling before it cleaned itself up |

Not really. 14mph is achievable on a decent road bike with a reasonable level of fitness |

I had my doubts about him ever since Nathan Dyer nipped in to head ( yes head!!) in a goal against the scum in one of the derbies at the Liberty [Post edited 13 Jan 2021 19:45]

It’s not just the supermarkets though is it ? What about the weekly student parties on Glanmor Road & the Uplands- Brynmill areas .. police have been there every weekend for the last month or more with reports in WOL seemingly failing to deter |

If he is cycling for exercise purposes it’s ok isn’t it ? Driving to a place to meet & exercise has clearly been identified as a no go |

Perhaps it should be. Watching rugby internationals without a crowd is about as interesting as watching MOTD these days. It’s pitiful watching in the current environment when the likes of Lineker, Wright, Micah Richards, Shearer et al are more interesting than the drab commentary with canned crowd noise |
