| News Comment | And for my next trick – Fans Forum at 14:37:20
Thank you for putting up this article (and in such a short space of time) which was very interesting - apart from the bit about the pies :-) |

Clive, you may be deriving little pleasure from LFW at the moment but, speaking on behalf of both of your faithful readers, I'd like to say that we derive enormous pleasure and insight from your work. It makes the pain of supporting Queens Park Rangers just a bit more tolerable. Whilst we understand you may need a short break to recuperate, please don't throw in the towel. As if you could.... |
| News Comment | End of Term Report 22/23 — Midfield at 16:39:33
Thanks for another great review. Which is the most shocking statistic - in every sense of the word: (1) Just 9 goals and 5 assists from our entire midfield squad of 9 players, in the whole of the 2022/23 season; or (2) Andre Dozzell's personal contribution of 0 goals and 0 assists in 30 appearances? |

I agree with you Clive: my average mark for him was 5.65, twelfth in my table, too many errors have crept into his game and his distribution has gone off something rotten. Nevertheless, being an optimist, he's shown what he can do and I'm hoping he can reach those levels again. |

I think you asked all the right questions, Clive, and pushed hard when the reply wasn't quite up to standard. Well done. Confidentiality issues make it difficult for Les to be totally open but credit to him for saying as much as he did. I hope his comment about our owners wanting to spend more money shuts up a few critics, but I somehow doubt it. It sounds like the development of Heston might be our only saviour, provided it's not undermined by other clubs nicking our youngsters - that must be so frustrating. Thanks for sharing this with the broader audience. |
| News Comment | I hitched a ride with a vending machine repairman — Report at 11:10:09
A well-deserved rant, Clive. I'd hope you feel better for it but like many of us, I suspect that you are rather depressed and pessimistic about the future. Other than Laird and Lowe, I wish we could send the loan players back: their heart clearly isn't in it and they seem to be helping to foster a toxic, couldn't-care-less culture. I guess that, contractually, this isn't possible. I tend to be reluctant to criticise management when we don't know what is going on behind the scenes but some of the decisions regarding contracts (Travelman, Adomah, Shodipo, Richards, Roberts etc) and team selection are at best baffling and, more often, downright infuriating. It seems that, contractually, our arm-waving friend, Roberts, has to be selected if fit. Wouldn't it send out a good message if he were selected in the starting eleven and then pulled off after 5 minutes? Based on recent performances and his softly-softly interviews, Critchley doesn't seem to have the personality to motivate or inspire players, therefore some decisive action like early substitutions and expulsions to train with the kids might be his only way to get his message across that THIS. IS. NOT. ACCEPTABLE. |

Clive, I like the analysis and the clever use of the home game against Preston as evidence to support it. These are persuasive reasons for our decline but, like you, I have this lingering feeling that "something more is wrong" too. Nevertheless, I feel that Warburton has done so many things right during his tenure, I want to stick with him rather than revert to the hire and fire approach that worked so well for us in the past (sic). |

Wonderful writing, In the 48 hours post match, I find myself checking LFW, waiting for your weekly report which are always a joy to read. These are such an integral part of the QPR experience. Many, many thanks, Clive. |
| News Comment | Second half R's storm back with ten men - Report at 14:16:14
Nice report, thanks. I wasn't there but, on the television, it looked like one of the more obvious penalties I've seen this season. I, too, think retirement beckons for Pugh and that he has offered little this season. I'm surprised Warburton picks him, especially in preference to Chair. By the sounds of his performance against PNE, one can't even argue that he is better defensively than Chair. |

If you are looking for us to cut Lumley some slack, it's worth mentioning that truly excellent save to his right late in the second half. That could easily have been 3-3. Like you, I'd stick with him a while longer; he's got some really good saves in him. |
| News Comment | Spot the difference, QPR annihilated at Norwich - Report at 12:01:56
Fair comment on Eustace: amongst a catalogue of errors, it was laughable but entirely predictable that Bright would be on the bench. Bircham a good shout as caretaker. Thanks for yet another excellent but painful read. |
| News Comment | And then a hero comes along — Knee Jerks at 20:23:04
Am I being unrealistic and/or naïve in hoping we might keep Freeman for next season? I became hooked on QPR as a result of a certain number 10. Kids today are not going to try to copy Bidwell or Hall in the playground on a Monday morning. They - we - need a Freeman for our weekly fix. Amit, just make it so. |
