| News Comment | What does O’Neil addition mean for QPR’s midfielder collection? at 12:20:31
I think Michael Doughty also warrants a mention, in a similar vein to Sutherland. I think O'Neil plays wide right rather than left, which makes him look very much like a replacement for Barton. Diakete and M'Bia must be costing a bomb in wages |
| News Comment | Redknapp’s impossible job begins with midweek trek north — full match preview at 08:11:29
It has just occurred to me how screwed we r if Cisse gets injured in the next 5 weeks. Excellent preview, I reckon Fulham r delighted that they dodged Hughes' ambition/ empire building. He was very keen to show the sort of players he could attract with not much thought as to whether they fit into the club ethos |
| News Comment | Hung by his own players, Hughes now in untenable position — full match report at 23:33:27
Think u have got the player ratings spot on. How can we have such little cohesion going forward against a team that had let so many in. Man Utd, Sunderland and Villa r the next 3 games and they will b rubbing their hands with glee. Also not sure why we actually get penned in by our full backs laziness. Helguson has been a big loss |
| News Comment | Pulis remains the man with the plan — opposition focus at 08:46:26
Stoke have only won once all season, there's nothing to b particularly scared about. I really enjoyed the Bowen interview. He makes a very good point that appointing Redknapp or whoever is no guarantee that we will turn things around. However, 6 wins 6 draws and 16 defeats is an embarassing record to date |
| News Comment | Redknapp found wanting by Hodgson, Hughes and Barton - Tactics at 12:59:19
Well Cahill is definitely crocked, I would really fancy Zamora & Cisse against Terry (and via a process of elimination as to who's left) & Ferreira in the centre. Also now that Chelsea have 2 cup finals to go at I would expect the team to look very much like that which faced Arsenal last week (Turnbull, Bosingwa, Bertrand, Sturridge, Romeu & Torres). Should be a better atmosphere at the game than if they'd lost to Barca though. Most importantly, lets all sing our hearts out. |
| News Comment | In form Arsenal gunning for lowly QPR — match preview at 08:58:44
My big worry is that we will get nothing today or at Old Trafford and our Swans game is late in the week on the Wednesday- we could easily b about 4 points adrift going into that. Cisse must love Westfield since that is where he spends the majority of his Saturday afternoons since he signed for us. |
| News Comment | LFW Travel Guides - Norwich, Carrow Road at 22:31:09
Hey lads, I live in those flats next to the ground that Clive refers to (nice 5 min walk to the game for me for a change). Agree that drinking in the 'Spoons or a bowling alley is all a bit 90s. Anyways, u will get no hassle in the Coach, but it is usually very busy so good luck getting to the bar. The Complete Angler, opposite the station, is the official away pub and better if there is a few of u. Or walk past the Prezzo near the station and follow the river for 10 mins and there r a few more traditional pubs down there doing food and stuff. No laughing at the Norwich on-the-ball-city song either, they got quite upset last year ha ha |
| News Comment | Against the odds, QPR win at Everton — full match report at 23:55:45
Very, very surreal seeing Agyemang in the Prem but wot a great victory. According to the stats we scored with our only shot on target?? It's been the best week we could have had and it's soo satisfying to think Everton and others will attract the vultures and take our billing as crisis club from now |
| News Comment | New era but same team for now, QPR head to Everton — match preview at 20:41:08
Pleased that we have already strengthened the squad with the departure of Leon Clarke. But we can also all c that Briatore is still pulling the strings- come on, an ORANGE away kit announced the day he alledgedly goes. Also wouldn't b surprised to c our bus driver deliberately drive into a wall, like what happened in the Formula 1 when it went tits up. A great preview, yet again it seems a total mismatch in terms of pace (we haven't got any) and I thought Taarabt looked about 70% fit last week. Win, lose or draw let's just enjoy the week. But by Christ it feels like a long time until we play at Loftus Rd again |
| News Comment | Bolton hand QPR reality check — full match report at 12:41:56
I think u r pretty much spot-on with all of this, although I do feel we can play a lot better going fwds. I am also very concerned about the quality of set plays, both delivery of and defending of, we need to b a lot better or we will get murdered on these alone. Any thoughts on the new kit?? Saturday will b very tough |
| News Comment | Injuries undermining Coyle’s improvement drive — opposition focus at 22:19:16
Really looking fwd to Saturday, will b a great day for our club. Don't forget that Bolton r better than anything we faced last year though. It will b interesting to c if Dyer starts at right back (both to counter the pace of Petrov and to suggest NW has not much faith in Orr). On a separate note, it seems a bit unlucky that the Everton game has been called off and they will b chomping at the bit next week. Hope we all can't sleep tomorrow night cos we're too excited!! |
| News Comment | Could Gabbidon signing mark a change in tack at Loftus Road? at 13:00:10
Is anyone else worried wot Orr & Hill vs , for example, Bale & Lennon will b like next year?? All credit to both of those for last year though and they have earned their spot if we don't sign a Narhaniel Clyne or someone like that. I also think we will c Buz come on for Taarabt a fair bit in the latter stages of games and I hope he looks as good as he did before his injuries. Signing Radek and Ramage on again seems very odd to me given that we must have known we were in the Market for similar types as well?? |
